Nifty Spot No Crossover till now.
3EMA - 8258.91
15EMA - 8259.06
difference is very small..
1 aggressive trader told that he has entered in anticipation of a full crossover today at 3:00 PM as the crossover was done then.
Steve: what could be done in such scenarios where the crossover is done in Nifty Futures but not in spot? do we buy or wait for one more day/ time..
what if its simply a rejection
Everyone: Have a very happy and healthy new year !!

as per Charts (Premium), crossover has happened. since steve trades in options which are related to fut premium, I would think he would have entered a trade. |

satish, strictly speaking SL is 3 crossing below 15 but that reduces profit IMHO. An improved method (pdf file) was posted by someone over a year ago in this thread or a similar one. You will have to search it. |

are you asking this query because (a) you don't have access to charts or (b) you can't read charts?
BTW, this strategy is for crossover in nifty. As far as I remember, no one has so far confirmed whether it works for stocks. IMHO, it should if volumes are always large. |

hi RajDesai..
consider the points that vinay28 has mentioned.. no easy money..
while 3/15 does seem to be an easy way. please do backtest and see if it works for the scrips that you are interested in.
infy-1m
3ema 2004.44
15 ema 1990.4
Close 2025.2
keep an eye on the volume.
Bullish Crossover is complete as per 3/15
Best of luck and HNY!!

Raj and taruj
I dont think this strategy works effectively for stocks.. I've myself monitored several stocks but it generally gives equal amounts of opportunities and misses.. which we obviously dont want... Hence please use this only for Nifty..
I was on holiday for a week.. but as vinaysaab pointed out there was a crossover EOD on 1st.. So if you had bought calls on 1st.. you would be sitting at decent profit..
So good luck !!
cheers

Steve: Please carry a laptop + internet dongle on your next vacation. Your crossover strategy will pay for the holiday then and there

Hi Steven,
Thanks for your views.
I am following the trades as per a slightly faster entry ( and early exits ). Not very graceful exits always . the profits are phenomenal in this system.
I agree that it may not work as well in Stocks, however still wanting to believe and doing backtests in various stocks and BNF.
This is the list BankNifty, Hindunilvr, LT, SBIN, Tatasteel, Tatamotors, TCS.
Maybe I will find what I am looking for maybe it will fizzle out..
Have a very happy and healthy new year .
Regards, |
