I think, today we must have reversed the sell trade to BUY, can any follower tell the exact reversal price?

Was confused in the last few minutes yesterday, as the values were too close.

Did not reverse the short as 5 EMA close was 5697 and 3 EMA close was 5694 , and hence 3 EMA had not crossed above 5 EMA to trigger the long

was a tough decision as market looked very bullish.

No issue, i see that u get a long signal today Smile

Yes both BNF and NF in sell mode now. Last few days have been whipping days where longs signals had been generated intraday but by day end had to revert back to shorts.

It is expected / normal to find such turbulence after a good move of 1000+ points on Bank Nifty

Cheers
Shiva

Almost after 4 trading days, it seems the crossover has happened for both 3x5 OR 5x8...............NOW BUY.

Almost after 4 trading days, it seems the crossover has happened for both 3x5 OR 5x8...............NOW BUY.[/quote]

I have been trying to track this system for the last few days. Upon a rough back testing , it seems very good in a trending market.

However, when the market is volatile after a big move, it tends to give whips and a lot of confusion before it launces us on a big move.

So I was wondering if we can add a additional filter to verify the entry ( to cut out the whips).

Can waiting for a DMI crossover ( in addition to the 3/5 Crossover) help in saving the whips.

If we were to adopt this filter, the SELL is still not triggered , as although the 3/5 Sell Crossover happened a few days ago, the DMI Death Cross is yet to happen.

In the current scenario, it would have saved a whip and possibly put us on when the big move actualy happens.

Can anyone give some input on this or any other suggestions?

In charts (premium) activate the indicator Average Directional Index..

The black ADX line measures the strength of the move, and the green line shows positive momentum and the red line shows the negative momentum..

I feel that a 3/5 sell crossover backed by the red DMI crossing to below the green DMI can put us on a big move.. (Which has still not happened)

Members, pls feel free to expand or correct above explanation.

Newinvestor: You are right. But further, crossover is both ways, red DMI over green DMI for bearish and green over red for bullish. And black ADX is always positively drawn and stays above because negative sign is removed from any calculation. Also experiment with diff period taking say 8,8 or 10,10 or 12,12 whichever gives u best results. Regards, Prakash Holla

Dear Friends

As promised I am attaching the presentation file that I had shared during TC2012.

The version is latest version of Powerpoint, so make sure you have the correct program to open it. I cannot upload in older version of PPT as it makes the file size larger than the allowed 1mb file size

Cheers
Shiva
