Thanks shiva...if I can understand this correct, the method gives about 1000 points NF a year with about 30 trades...?

Yes the back test suggests the same.

I can vouch for Bank nifty as I trade it religiously (compare the returns between BNF and NF in the slides). I rarely trade in Nifty Futures.

Cheers

sir. thnx for the sheet. now as we knw bnf is very volatile ... so at 9.30 do we need to see any candle close or anything ? as let's say if sl is 11250 but the price hovers around it only like 10 plus minus

Hi

Floow the stop loss religiously. If at 9:30 stoploss is not hit put a stoploss. If you feel comfortable, wait for some more time.

I prefer to be consistent.in my approach and if at 9:30 sl is not hit, I enter sl order. If it is already hit, then take the.opposite trade at market price

this system gives you enough points during trends to cover up for these small losses. The only thing you have to ensure is that you take all trades as the next one could be a big winner trade.

Cheers

Dear Friends

As promised I am attaching the presentation file that I had shared during TC2012.

The version is latest version of Powerpoint, so make sure you have the correct program to open it. I cannot upload in older version of PPT as it makes the file size larger than the allowed 1mb file size

Cheers
Shiva

Can u pls post ppt in older version and upload it in a file sharing website and provide the link here? Very Happy
Thanks

3 EMA crossing 8 EMA seems to be a much better and less risky option

Hi Shiva,

Friday's closing price has led to an abnormal situation in Nifty and Banknifty....the market first went down below our reversal points (5718 for Nifty) but finally closed just above that. So if I have understood your strategy correctly, that means we should be long once again. The spreadsheet also maintains a BUY signal based on Friday's adjusted closing price, but this time the reversal point is higher than the close instead of lower which is normally the case for a long position (5743.74 for Nifty).

In such a case does it mean that we place reversal orders to short if the market is below or near 5743.75 at 9.30 am on Monday and maintain our longs only if the market trades above that 3.15 pm?

Hope I am not asking a very foolish question.

Best wishes,

RKM
