I have been going through your earlier post where you gave many examples of breakouts, backed by MACD and RSI . Positive RSI and MACD , means succesful breakout.
Want to know from you what the role opf ADx can be in this.
In the case of Allahabad Bank ( EOD). it is poised for a B/O above 120.
MACD and RSI are both looking very positively poised, but ADX is very weak.
Would appreciate your thoughts on this

for a successful breaking of levels we need strong trends, which is indicated by macd, frankly speaking, when i did that i did not know much of adx,
we have a group of ichartians who chat after market hours online, and some time during market hour too, (now a days i am very irregular there)among them vishy anna (vishytns) is one and his only job after market is to motive me to take up, some time fight with me to take up newer cases and analyse them successfully, (nowadays he is also very busy in his job) my work with adx and a few more things are direct result of his constant persuasion
now, going by adx reading, i expect a normal to low adx reading while the pattern is forming, bcoz its the time of consolidation which is a rather trend less phase but after a successful break, the adx should rise as it is taking a newer trend
in dmi or adx indicator, +dmi line shows the bullishness and -dmi line shows the bearishness and adx is average of them so for a successful bo, +dmi should rise most , followed by adx and for a successful bd, -dmi should rise most followed by adx too
the total situation will take a shape such as "bulls are gaining power in a bo and +dmi is increasing, and while its increasing, its pulling adx line with it too," same goes for bd and -dmi too
so for a successful and sustainable bo/bd i must expect that adx should be in lower range and will move upward as the break happens
here i am writing a irrelevant thing
if u see any real time chart today, u will notice that in real time, we have nice moves and adx accompanied the move nicely, giving a sustainable move
but when i see nifty eod chart, i see it was an AT which broken out, but adx did not moved in tandem, rising suspicion about the longevity of this move
i am attaching tatapower chart, it gave a nice bo and see how adx accompanied the price upmove from a very lower level
but again attaching the nifty chart, where +dmi rose but adx line did not rise,so rising my suspicion about todays move
now if from monday adx starts heading upward then we can have a strong trend, or nifty may become choppy or even may come down too
(its my personal belief, i may be wrong also,)
