Arvind Kumar: Hi. I recently did some prelim studies of stocks for positional trading. The bank stocks which delighted me with more smoothness in moves, nice up/ down swings, less hairiness in candle (ie less highs and lows outside main candle) were BNF 22250 points ie 220% of current MV, Dena 425 pt ie 400%, IDBI 475 ie 600%, CanBk 1030 ie 350%, IDFC 700 ie 600%, IndianB 700 ie 350% and PNB 2000 ie 300%
All % are approx but indicative and points are those u can ideally get if you back test, knowing the moves and have ample time to place buy and sell. Period of study either 1/9/11 or 1/1/12 to present
I am sorry I cannot share my Excel based studies but I hope this helps you go a step further in your bank positional trading. Prakash Holla

Friends,

I am completly agree with Pkholla's view and like to trade in banking stock as they are giving clear signal ie upside or downside.

Is it correct time to take position in axis bank, or should wait for more correction in axis bank?
