அமைதியான நதியினிலே ஓடும் ஓடம்
அளவில்லாத வெள்ளம் வந்தால் ஆடும் ...
காற்றினிலும் மழையினிலும் கலங்க வைக்கும் இடியினிலும்
கரையினிலே ஒதுங்கி நின்றால் வாழும் ....
[river is calm the boat will go very smoothly.... if its over-flows then ?
if over-flow is there the boat shd be in the shore itself .. its fine to boat and
that man also]
அமைதியான நதியினிலே ஓடும் ஓடம்
அளவில்லாத வெள்ளம் வந்தால் ஆடும் ...
காற்றினிலும் மழையினிலும் கலங்க வைக்கும் இடியினிலும்
கரையினிலே ஒதுங்கி நின்றால் வாழும் ....
தென்னை இளம் கீற்றினிலே தாலாட்டும் தென்றலது
தென்னை தனை சாய்த்துவிடும் புயலாக வரும்பொழுது ....

ஆற்றங்கரை மேட்டினிலே ஆடி நிற்கும் நாணலது

The boat which sails on calm waters when flooded gets tossed around.It is better to be onshore when there is wind,rain and freightening thunder.
The breeze which makes the palm leaves to sway,when becomes hurricane ,uproots the palm tree itself.A boat ,when the river is calm,sails smoothly but in turbulent waters it gets tossed around.
(Thennum keettu is tender palm leaves and thalattu is lullaby.Instead of "sway" we can also use "lull to song") |
