Same thing happened few days back.
THat time it was 3512 with Mini NF.

Was the earlier incident 'Trial' ???
Though that time it was huge fall to 3512 compared to today's 5000.
But we can't overlook instrument being traded and it's volumes and impact on overall market.

If that was 'Mistake' in order punching...why it's happening twice in couple months ?

I am sorry to say but this story of punching error on back of huge volume is not digestible.

I have 2 thoughts as below.

1. Big players who were sitting on shorts and expected market to go below 5200/5150 or lower needed a suitable place to cover the shorts at lower level, past few days nifty posted close above 5300 suggests that nifty is bullish but these participant would have lost if they covered shorts at these levels above 5300-5350 so sell take the market lower break many a stoplosses and then start short covering. Volume at the sell level key.

2. Second thought we are headed towards 4800.

Cant just digest punching error.

Now,Its sure & certain NSE Server can't handle HFT & the glitch that happened in Muharat Trading day was just the trailer.

What about StopLoss.

The 5000 mark came @2:25 volume 17,84,600

The best thing about HFT, not just we can see Market Best Five but the entire
order table & that to in milliseconds, Like Deutsche Bank Stealth HFT & AFT.
