Hi All,

I am not new to this forum as you can see, but has been inactive for a few years as my day job didn't permit me time to focus on trading, now I have a new job and can spare some time (1-2 hrs daily), hence I am coming back to this exciting world of trading. I have a old indiabulls account which is dormant now. I am looking for suggestions around brokers and what is best in market now since so much has changed in these years. Below are the parameters that are applicable to me which my selection should be based on:

1. A good mobile paltform is a must, as I cant access broker sites from my office. It is blocked and even if it wouldn't have been, I would personally not use it.
2. Real time charts(with a basic features) on mobile especially 60min is a plus.
3. I am or rather was a swing/positional trader. I am not a intra day trader as I think it needs more than a full time focus. I would do an average of 10-15 trades a month in futures only at this point and too Nifty only to start with.
4. Brokerage is not a paramount factor, however should be competent with the prevailing market standard rates.

Please suggest a broker based on the above parameters and list down top 2-3 pros and cons of your suggestion, if possible.

Thanks
Gaurav

Zerodha

I have same issues like you ... i am happy with zerodha , [MODIFIED BY ADMIN]
Zerodha kite app is not still stable ... but i enjoy browser based Kite seamlessly backoffice , charting and multiple script page in just one log in .

if you invest in stocks its free of brokerage (other taxes applied).
As you said Brkg is not a problem ... but i find it a problem if i trade 10 times in nifty future ... i pay 11 points to brokerage means 110 points in a 10 trade of a month ... with zerodha i pay only 2.1 point means 21 points in a month for 10 trade WITH 1 lot.
If the lot is more than 1 .. with realigare or similar kind of brokers the breakeven point multiplies with total number of lots ... that it 220 points in a month for 2 lots of nifty in 10 trade.
Go and see Zerodha brokerage calculator page for details .... it is accurate (after applying state tax which differs in different states).

I have experience in Trading Since 2003 in SMC , Religare , Sharekhan ... i can bet Zerodha is best of them.

Cons : there is no technical/fundamental analysis is provided by zerodha.

go to zerodha brkg calculator page on your browser by googling it ... see for youeself. If nifty goes more higher ... breakeven will rise ... this is sure ... it is not fixed at 2.1 Smile ... but see now at this level of nifty Religare takes 12 points as breakeven.

all calculations here are of both legs yahoo

Dear Member(s)

FYI : We have tie up with Tradejini, a discount broking firm. Advantage is that you can get back your subscription fee from the brokerage paid on monthly basis.

For more information, you can mail us or contact Tradejini directly for brokerage charges

Regards

Kamal

Thanks Ankur for the detailed reply. Do you know if they have realtime charts, 60min should be enough.

@ Kamal - I will check out tradejini as well.

Have you tried something like Zulutrade ? Have you ever visited their website ? I have reviewed many many many brokers by many parameters and I just discovered that it really needs to be done here - zulutrade.com just take a look on all options.
