Hi Anand
If Nifty can fall 700 pts in a month (5400 to 4700) , it can move up 500 points too !! My charts are giving me long signal (Maybe contra trade to many) with upside possible of 5060,5150 and 5250 by year end...

Chrome: with all due respect, have you seen Veeru Chennai Boy's posts? Have you seen Desai's Nifty post with chart comparing 2009 crash with 2011 present crash? Have you heard that Americans not even ready to start discussing how to reduce deficit which is rapidly rising minute to minute? Have you heard about Japan's nuclear contamination being worse than expected leaving large areas of Japan unfit to live? Have you heard that German bonds also UNDER SUBSCRIBED???? Have you heard that German PM ready to break euro leaving Greece (and Spain?, Ireland?, Portugal?, Italy?) out. Have you heard that China's banks forced for years to lend heavily to State Governments resulting in HUGE NPAs!!! India's banks also face rising NPAs. India industrial output only 1.8% rise. Etc Etc Etc Etc. And ... you still want to go long ... ??? Brave man!

Hi pkholla,
U have put all the bad factors that can happen globally and here in India too. (frankly, wasn's aware of all these things, thanks to bring in front !) That's why I mentioned Longs right now may seem contra to some. But If my chart set-up give me any trade signal, I simply cant ignore those too. As per my little knowledge in the market, technical analysis doesn't follow the fundamentals and all these bad factors may already been factored in by the markets...We have already down to sub 4700 levels...
Anyway, this in fact is my contra trade.

Hi Chrome: You are 100% right. Fundamentals are one thing and technicals are quite another thing. The share market (as I read somewhere) is all knowing and all funda. factors are taken into account already as the market is the sum total of all who trade. If you are right, (and I wish you the very best of luck), you can make a killing. Way to go, Sir!
