Dear ST / PT,

As you know well data distribution issue is not set righted. At the end
of the day we could see more contradiction between chart's day OPEN,
HIGH, LOW & CLOSE and real data.

Pls advise...

1) When will we get sorted out this distribution problem?

2) Charts of other Time Frames like 5/15/30/60 also will face the
same issue... becoz each candles open/high/low/close will be
very important for the day traders like me

3) For the time being, At the end of the day can you fix actual data
of day's open, high, low & close - this will help to do past study

Thanks & Regards,
Rameshkg

Dear Sir,

You are mistaken/confused. We have explained this to you before also. There is no data issue at our end. I will try and explain this again to you. You may call us if you still have further queries.

1. Few big trades take place before market open before you & I can begin to trade. The quotes from these trades do not come through our data feed, they are only passed on to the terminals (ODIN etc). That is why you will see this difference in Open/High/Low at market open.

2. NSE's trades management system does few automatic trades throughout the day for "price adjustment". These trades usually happen during sudden volatile moves. The quotes from these trades also show up only on terminals and do not come through our data feed.

3. Our data feed stops at/around 15:30 hrs. The adjusted closing price is not reflected in our intraday charts. This is the reason why you will see a difference in our closing price (in intraday data).

4. Our EOD charts are updated with the official NSE bhavcopy which includes the quotes from all the above mentioned trades and also the adjusted close. That is why you see a difference in OHLC from EOD vs intraday.

PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL THIS IS PERFECTLY FINE. THERE IS NOTHING TO BE FIXED HERE. IT IS THEY WAY DATA FEEDS ARE SETUP BY NSE. THIS IS GOING TO REMAIN LIKE THIS UNTIL NSE DECIDES TO CHANGE IT.

We will not be doing anything artificial adjustments to make EOD & intraday OHLC match.

If this explanation is still not clear, please call us and I will ocne more try to explain you the exact same thing I have written above.

Dear ST,

First, thanks for your detailed reply.

And I'm not mistaken and confused, some days earlier when I
asked about this matter (in SB), PT replied back that yes there
are some data distribution problem with data supplier, which
he will check and rectify soon, further he added that sometime
it may occurs due to poor Internet speed.

When I do some studies on Intraday charts, as you said Intraday
OHLC doesn't match EOD. So, I presume that the problem still
persists.

Now I understand the facts involved in this and EOD OHLC can be
taken for studies if there any diff between these EOD & Intraday.

Thanks & Regards,
Ramesh kannan G

No, there is no problem. I personally look/monitor the data feed. There is no issue. We did think for a while that there could be issue but as I explained below, after NSE clarified this and made it clear that it is not an issue.

I explained below in detail why intraday & EOD does not match. This problem needs to be fixed at NSE's data feed level and not at our level. As far as we are concerned there is no problem, we are just showing you what comes in from NSE.

There is no issue at the moment and there is nothing to fix.
