Hi ,

I saw differences in charts premium for two different gold contracts charts, for the current month itself.
I pulled out gold charts for the scrip GOLD-MX-1M, and later pulled out the chart for GOLDM-MX-1M . I feel that these 2 charts should have been same, except for the contract size. so unable to know the reason for difference in charts.
I trade gold petal and gold guinea, so dont know which chart i need to follow for these.

Thanks..

Dear Member,

It is not mandatory that prices should be same for different contracts (lot size) for any script. The expiry date also differs for the contract as well as the price may differ.

For example, yesterday's closing price of GOLD (Big lot) for current contract (i.e. 05JUN14) was 28589 and for Gold Mini current contract (i.e. 05MAY14), it was 29290. Similarly for Gold Petal, yesterday's closing price for current contract (i.e.30APR14) was 3086 and for Gold Guinea, the closing price for current contract (i.e.30APR14) was 23995. You can refer the Bhavcopy on the MCX site for the same.

For trend, you can view any chart whether GOLD, GOLDM or GOLDPETAL. For entry and SL, you may require to follow the price as per what you are trading i.e. you need to follow GOLDPETAL chart in case you want to trade it for your price orders.

Regards

Kamal
