Hello everyone,

I am often surprised to see that the High value reported by the NSE on its F&O Quote page is lower than the figure shown in the Derivatives Market Watch page (which is the actual high observed during market hours).

For example, today the highs for NF (April) are shown as 3507.80 and 3497.85 and the highs for NF (May) are shown as 3510.00 and 3499.00. The first values in each case are the ones actually observed.

Can anybody throw some light on this? Which figures are more valid?

Cheers,
Makhijani

Hi Makhijani

I Cannot get your point. I checked all the pages where ever NSE provides details quote data and found that high is mentioned as 3507.80 for April series at both F&O Quote and Derivative Watch page.

I think that you may be viewing these during market hours and there is some time problem like delay in price.

However most authentic quotes are available in the Bhavcopy. Quotes given in Bhavcopy are used by everyone for all purposes.

Kindly avoid creating new topics here in my forum. Please create such topics in Stocks / Futures & Options / Data / Resources forums. My forum is for discussion about the levels I am posting.

I am moving this topic to "Stocks" forum.

Thanks for understanding.

Dear Amit,

I have checked once again. The value given on F&O Quote page (approached from Derivatives Market Watch) is still 3497.85. I am unable to attach the relevant page. I have saved the webpage on my comp, if you like I'll mail it to you.

SwingTrader - Didn't know I was trespassing on your domain - Sorry.

Dear Makhijani
I checked again and again but did not find 3497.85 as high at any page.

Dear Amit,

I am attaching the relevant page showing a different NF (Apr) High on 15.04.09. I hope I can find the reason for two different Highs for the same day.
