Hi PT,

Donchian in charts section of iCharts considers current day's high/low for drawing the channel. This I think is not helpful in pointing out the breakout/ breakdown. The channel can be built using the preceding 20 days values ( leaving current days values). Please look into it.

Also, Can we have Donchian channel based on close prices in addition to high/low? This will help in positional trading.

Thanks,
Sreenath

Hi Sreenath,

You are basically asking us to smoothened it. We will see what is possible, no promises or timelines though.

PT

PT,

Its not smoothing. The lines of the channel need to be moved to the right by one day. This will clearly show if today's price has broken donchian channel or not.

Thanks and regards,
Sreenath

on a daily time frame you can say a day..but it has to be done right from the lowest tf (30 sec). It is called as smoothining.

PT
