dear sumit bhai,
as per your system u always remain in the trade,how it is possible when markets in sideways movement, more over most of trading strategy suggest to take trade selectively.i have backtested some strategy some what to remain in the trade always but it ends in poor R:R.I want to know is it right to remain in trade always please explain  |

A very valid point by sairanga. We should not over trade. Al you may recall that I have shared my realisations with you in your 'sumit ailawadi' days that "Knowing when NOT to trade is far more important than mastering any system or technique ". In fact I increasingly find from my experience is that is what differentiates a net positive trading account from a net negative one at the end of each day.
The SAR system by Welles Wilder also states clearly that it doesn't work in sideways market. A look at any chart will confirm that ... in a sideways market SAR gives exactly opposite signals and traps the traders in whipsaws. So if we follow any SAR/similar system we should do only when market is trending.
Now how do you know market is trending ? It is a question for which another thread is required.

Hi friends,
I will continue posting my trades here, if you understand them follow the thread or avoid it completely. This is not an invitation from me for people to come and follow my trades, this is just my trade journal. If someone wants to follow my trades on their own risk, most welcome.
I started this thread to make it convenient for people from shoutbox who wanted to be updated with my trades and stoplosses etc ... no other objective.

Educomp and HDIL falling further. Revised APC for Edu ... please see current positions
- REC long from 185.25 APC 177.50 (closed at 182.45 so loss of 2800 per lot M2M)
- Educomp short from 188.50 APC 195 (closed at 180 so profit of 4200 per lot M2M)
- HDIL short from 66.60 APC 68.10 (closed at 65.35 so profit of 2500 per lot)
All positions carried for Monday
Besides above M2M, todays 'booked' profit in Educomp (partial booking and full booking later Rs 5500 per lot) & profit in HDIL (4000 per lot)

I am seriously confounded with questions than answers after having read your trade journal. However its up-to you to either simplify or further complicate your journal...Oh...By the way, I was more inquisitive to find the true meaning of Alchemist since there is no talk of your trade rules anywhere...
Alchemist as described by WIKI "Alchemy is an influential philosophical tradition whose early practitioners’ claims to have profound powers known from antiquity" . In general Alchemists believe in a natural and symbolic unity of humanity with the cosmos.
I personally do not trade with cosmos or humanity as part of my trade strategy. So I give a pass to this thread...
