it is OI analysis.
Here you can see in options analysis
there is more OI in puts , than in calls
there is more oi in short calls than short puts
which indicates , net short positional direction

good one svkum. explosive short covering is very much possible next week. Are you also monitoring carryover position? That should give some idea e.g. if not much long is getting carried over it will mean no chances of long covering in Jan and hence market up.

Low PCR do not suggest aggressive shorts.

This can be an interesting thread with intellectual participation.

sandew, as of EOD Thursday, PCR was 1.08 which is too high for market to go up. But pcr of 0.88 by eod friday can mean market going up sharply.

vinay- opening carryover positions(this friday) with opening pcr , can be observed, for directions.
also pcr , what i think should be looked at wrt volatility. means pcr of 1.0 with 14 vix , and pcr 1 with 18 vix.

FNO positions in Rs terms (value) are calculated , for options, as premium+strike price .
so it unneccesaarily increases value of turnover( where as trader pay only premium value only )

svkum, I agree that pcr may have to be seen w.r.t. vix as I had stated in one of ST's thread. But still pcr > 1.0 at low vix did take market down as I have been posting in sam's thread.
