The answer is unambiguous YES.

This big ruckus over saving the traders is to simply protect the large traders known as aarthiyas.

Their is really no sympathy in this protest - for small traders, farmers and consumers.

Farmers and Consumers are going to be the biggest beneficiaries of this move.

If any body here had any exposure to farming community they will know for sure how much the farmers along with the consumers are fleeced by these middlemen.

If the big retails are allowed to procure farm produce directly from the farmers then the price differential between farm gate price and price to end consumer will reduce considerably.
