11-02-14

FII: -165.40 (Cumulative -4076.01) (111.81 Jan) (13489.39 Dec)

DII: 242.37(Cumulative +3198.61) (-2429.37 Jan) (-7041.39 Dec)

Nifty:6062.70 ( 9.25) 0.15%

Today market completely ignored global cues. From this market action it appears that tomorrows data is going to be weak.

12-02-14

FII: 211.99 (Cumulative -3864.02) (111.81 Jan) (13489.39 Dec)

DII: -261.96(Cumulative +2936.65) (-2429.37 Jan) (-7041.39 Dec)

Nifty:6084 ( 21.30) 0.35%

Today FII's were net buyers. IIP and CPI inflation figures are better than expected. Still markets are not getting upside momentum.

It's still moving in a narrow range. Any time breakout either side may happen.

rk, confusing thing is the INR. Tody's evening doji star is dicey. I see a 200-250 point move either side next week.

Still, trying to decode.Smile

The only possible explanations are
1.They sold index stocks and bought non index selective.
2.Some sections along with DII's sold and FII's absorbed.

In any case it is positive for markets in near term.....I think

It might surprise you to know that there is usually a complete correlation between significant FIIs net sales and market bottoms, again and again.

14-02-14

FII: -15.86 (Cumulative -3480.480) (111.81 Jan) (13489.39 Dec)

DII: -45 (Cumulative +2599.25) (-2429.37 Jan) (-7041.39 Dec)

Nifty:6048.35 ( 47.25) 0.79%

FII and DII actions are giving us enough cues. Now they are telling us..... it's not going to be a run away rally or a hammering down at least till they change their stance.

I am not sure rk. Suddenly stronger INR is creating doubts in my mind. Gives them good returns if they sell.

most often their trades in index and stock futures are in contrast, like hedges.

I dont really understand option buy and sell value funda, because buy can be covering of shorting of earlier options and sell could be fresh writing or just options they bought earlier...
