15-07-2014

FII : -3.4 Cumulative 5654.65 (9030.76 June) (12916.38 May) (7474.31 April) ( 23662 March) (-185 Feb) (111 Jan) (13489 Dec)

DII : 471.78 Cumulative -3009.8 (-3793.45 June) ( -5692.9 May) (-6346.33 April) (-12166March) (88 Feb) (-2429 Jan) (-7041 Dec)

Nifty 7526.65 (72.50) 0.97%

It's DII's which came for the rescue of the market these 2 days. They took the index above 7500. As long as Nifty is above 7500 it's not bearish and as long as it won't go above 7600 it's not bullish. It appears that this rebound is not just an outcome of mere short covering.

How ever, we may need confirmation of follow up buying in the coming days .

16-07-2014

FII : 621.68 Cumulative 6276.33 (9030.76 June) (12916.38 May) (7474.31 April) ( 23662 March) (-185 Feb) (111 Jan) (13489 Dec)

DII : -48.48 Cumulative -3058.28 (-3793.45 June) ( -5692.9 May) (-6346.33 April) (-12166March) (88 Feb) (-2429 Jan) (-7041 Dec)

Nifty 7624.40 (97.75) 1.30%

Now, Nifty is again in bullish zone. But we may assume from the index movement that after 2.30 it's jumped up with huge short covering.

earlier short covering used to be induced by DII but after buying of 8-10 days... this was induced just after 2 days buying with more than 10 sessions for expiry to go. kind of shows the underlying sentiment / fear towards bulls.

apka, this does not get covered in nse data for FIIs. we will see in sebi data today or tmrw since they post on T+2 basis. In addition, major trade was by a PE and not FII.

Basically human beings are empiricists. Empiricism do work quite often.(Of course the whole gambit of technical analysis philosophical base is empiricism. 24 )

In the backdrop of negative global cues this up move in index can be considered as good. From lows of the day index went up 82 points and finally closed at 64 points up from the day's low.

22-07-2014

FII : 412.03 Cumulative 9336.42 (9030.76 June) (12916.38 May) (7474.31 April) ( 23662 March) (-185 Feb) (111 Jan) (13489 Dec)

Nifty 7767.85 (83.65) 1.09%

Index went up with the cash buying induced by both the FII's and DII's, but not before deceiving and trapping intraday bears.
