Well, the upward thrust started today.Till what level it's going to continue? .... We don't know yet. But, we will track the possible hints which might emanate from the fund flows in to the cash markets.

FII : 479.40 Cumulative 6104.15 (2681.47 Aug) (8998.61 July) (9030.76 June) (12916.38 May) (7474.31 April) ( 23662 March) (-185 Feb) (111 Jan) (13489 Dec)

DII : -752.09 Cumulative -3369.93 (2281.43 Aug) ( -3579.94 July) (-3793.45 June) ( -5692.9 May) (-6346.33 April) (-12166March) (88 Feb) (-2429 Jan) (-7041 Dec)

Nifty 8152.95 (20.95) 0.92%

When ever chance arises DII's are jumping in to cash out. They are intensifying their selling at each new high. This could be a cause of worry for bulls.

As posted earlier the DII giant LIC must be accumulating the cash through selling the eqity bank to subscribe for the forthcoming grand disinvestment.

The onset of disinvestment and the correction in the market may probably coincide. So get prepared for a considerable correction as the disinvestment dates near.Till that time the rally might be on with minor corrections.

For the past many months and years, DII have mostly been net sellers. I think LIC must have enough accumulation already.

This also maybe just people redeeming on their long loss holding MFs, is what I feel.

FII's paused their buying and obviously market drifted lower. As long as FII's are not sellers no threat for bulls.

Incidentally, cabinet approved 40K+ divestment in Sail, ONGC, Coal India and NHPC after DIIs confirmed that they have enough money to bail out govt if required. Smile

DII's selling is catching up FII's buying slow and steady. No need to comment on the implication.

Friday's Index price action was bullish;Though fund flows in to cash market was not encouraging.

Index closed 20 points high despite negative global cues. SGX Nifty closure at 8096 is in tune with the Friday's negative closing of US markets.
Infact, when NS was closing +20 Dow futures were trading -32 points.

As of now cash market flows showing South and price action North....50-50
Laughing

SGX price might be down due to the Disappointing IIP data .

Naresh, If IIP no's has to effect the market,it might have happened already. That's how market dynamics work......In my opinion.

In general,it's not possible to trade based on headline news. It's more valid in Indian context though valid all over the world.

Vinay, Are you expecting a sharp up move by the expiry based on this statistics.?
