FII: 250.48 (Cumulative 541.81) (13489.39)

DII: -16.87 (Cumulative -2561.3Cool (-7041.39)

Nifty:6120.25 (-6) -0.10

There was no selling either by FII's or DII's still market came down 50 points from day's high. This might have resulted from selling out of tapering concerns. We have to watch FII's following actions after FED decision, which is going to decide the market direction..

FII: -430.20 (Cumulative 111.81) (13489.39)

DII: 132.01(Cumulative -2429.37) (-7041.39)

Nifty:6073.70 (-46.55) -0.76%

The net outflow in cash market for this expiry month is 2317.56 cr. Where as it was 6448 cr net inflow in the previous expiry month. Nifty went down 205.20 points i.e from 6278.90 to 6073.70 in this expiry month.

Literally there was no net inflow in to the cash market from FII’s ..Is this an outcome of tapering …..and subsequent liquidity crunch? We have to observe the trend for Feb and March expiry months for an answer
.

Well, the new series started with a negative FII's number. As of now they are taking out cash from equity market. We may assume that it may continue till a reversal appears. Laughing

FII: -735.73 (Cumulative -1388.70) (111.81 Jan) (13489.39 Dec)

DII: -70.35(Cumulative-256.66) (-2429.37 Jan) (-7041.39 Dec)

Nifty:6001.80 ( -87.70) -1.44%

As assumed the FII"s selling is continued. The difference is DII's also turned net sellers today though in a small way.

Rita, It's cash market activity that makes index to move. Of course ,that's where they manipulate the market moves too.

FII: -1234.02 (Cumulative -2622.72) (111.81 Jan) (13489.39 Dec)

DII: 864.55(Cumulative +608) (-2429.37 Jan) (-7041.39 Dec)

Nifty:6000.90 ( -0.9) -0.01%

FII's selling in cash market is further intensified. DII's came forward with buying...... might be to defend 200 day Moving average. Unless FII's selling recedes and reverses it may not be possible for DII's to defend that. As of now it appears that the TAPERING EFFECT is on.

Vinay. They might not have shorted.(I don't know how to gauge that) but,They bought for 13500 cr in Dec. bought for 100 cr in Jan and now sold for 2600cr in the month of Feb (just in the beginning). From this it is evident that this trend of diminishing inflows emanated out of tapering.

I know that there is an argument that even though there is some liquidity tightening happens out of tapering .India may keep getting the inflows out of it's favorable position ( because of the growth rate). But that is not yet reflected in FII's cash market inflows and INR/$ exchange rate.

Let it reflect in real inflows.
