i don't think there is any problem in posting the indicator names. In fact, it has been said on icharts forums that charts from other sites can be posted without disclosing the names of those websites since they 'could be' competitors to Icharts.
All charting sites, including Icharts, are based on indicators developed by umpteen other people/groups. When they can use others' indictors/literature without problems, why not forum members?
Posting AFL does not promote other software directly. It is a description of the formula which u have used in your signals. |
Rahul bhai,
IMO you can very well post AFL here also 'IF' it's not copy righted. |

IMO simply is abbreviated form - short form of saying "In My Opinion" - sometimes we also say IMHO - meaning In My Humble Opinion
AFL in simple words is a computer programming language used for coding. It is AFL Code.
NB Sorry Arjun, I say you post later. |

Hi Rahul,
Just a dbt. If we can see Relinfra charts on 30 TF and when we enter into buy, for say the value has come down to below 30 EMA. Should we wait for our SL to hit in buy( which is 6 points below34 EMA) or can we enter into Short covering our Buy position as per the ema value.Bcoz this has happenned in Relinfra in the month of July.Am presently unable to post the dates coz had been backtesting it yesterday night.Hopeu can undertsnad my query.

When we buy at 508-- stop loss is 13 points { as u have to round off EMA-suppose 501.70-- for buy its 502 plus 6 points,, thats 508-----for stop loss EMA is round off to 501-- less 6 points thats 495--so stop loss is 13 points }
after buy at 508---place stop loss and short at 494.90
As script goes up--- EMA will also go up-- Script at 518-- ema will be 508 suppose--so now stop loss is 502-- and short at 502 also---'same way trail it--till target or stop loss or TSL hits |

i have changed time frame as well style of trading , as well my own setup n rules | . I m not sure, but i think, supertrend is a technical indicator which depends on atr i.e. Average true range and its multiplier. So what setting u use for atr and multiplier and in which tf for nf ? |

in 5 min TF for nifty:
dont see signals of indicator buy or short--
just see green line--and red line--
1} Buy above red line--use 6 point filter to red line value and buy
stop loss 25 points
target 60 points--
Tsl at cost after 30 points
Tsl at 20 gain after 40 point gain
Tsl at 40 after 50 gain
2 } short below green line-- 6 point filter below green line and short
stop loss 25 points
target 60 points--
Tsl at cost after 30 points
Tsl at 20 gain after 40 point gain
Tsl at 40 after 50 gain
================================================
once nifty is below red line-- and target is booked, when ever it goes near red line take Re-entry
Short below Red line-- see value of red line-- round off--- use 6 point filter and short-- Stop loss 6 points above red line--
target 60 points--
Tsl at cost after 30 points
Tsl at 20 gain after 40 point gain
Tsl at 40 after 50 gain
================================================
once nifty is above green line-- and target is booked, when ever it goes near green line take Re-entry |

Factor=Optimize("Factor",3,2,10,1);

Up=(H+L)/2+(Factor*ATR(Pd));
