| When you buy and sell around same price ur net investment should be net to very low amount...i think u r talkin abt the margin requirements |

TODAY TRIED DIFFERENT STRATEGY --SHORT STRADDLE
IN MORNING( mostly I watch first 10 to 15 min. then decide to act)WHEN 215CE BROKE MORNING LOW 8.45...SELL TRIGGERED..
SOLD 215CE AT 8.40 & ALSO SOLD 215PE @ 7.30 FOR HEDGING
WAITED...BEFORE CLOSE TIME SQ.OFF 215CE@7.80 & 215PE@ 7.30
SELL VALUE = 15.70 BUY VALUE= 15.10
PROFIT = 0.60*1700= 1020 TRADE COST = 365
NET = 655/ ONLY
PAVAN SIR, WHAT DO U COMMENT ON THIS TRADE ? |

WANT TO UNDERSTAND , WHEN TO INITIATE TRADE IN HEDGED OPTION
OPTION MAKE NEW HIGH, OR NEW LOW
OR WHEN PRICE IS IN MIDDLE OF THE STRIKE PRICES
OR PRICE IS CLOSE TO ONE OF THE STRIKE PRICE ...
WHAT SHOULD BE A CRITERIA FOR GOOD PROFIT ?
ATLEAST ONE SHOULD GET HANDSOME PROFIT .. |

Dear Dineshjm
Selling ATM options are very risky due to high delta. If you want to make straddle position try OTM options. |
