I wouldn't ask you for values if I understood TA. Also, I don't have access to all charts yet and I don't want to because I am not ready yet. Even if you are able to quickly guide on sell/buy of NF, it should suffice. I am particularly concerned by correct SL and/or target.

I am already benefitting a bit from commentry by ST, nsk and jjm under a different thread for day trade. I am aware that your strategy is not for day trade. But I wonder why.

Please don't go by the colour of my belt. Probably someone has hacked my account and changed my belt colour. J/K Wink

The best place to buy/shortsell a scrip is at the time of crossover. Ema 13/21 is the main combination. Ema 5/8 is used for reentry. For example if ema 13/21 is up and ema 5/8 goes down then buy exactly when ema 5 comes above ema 8 on the 60min tf. Stoploss or profit booking in this situation is exactly when ema 5 goes below ema 8. If ema 13 also goes below ema 21 then one should short nifty...

vinay,
My strategy may give a buy, sell, short, cover signal on the same day. It all depends on the mkt conditions and volatility and volume and participation

Thanks sid. But I asked you for your inputs/advice on buy/sell signals only because I really don't understand ema crossover, etc. nor do I have access to the desired charts. Also, I want only for NF. Provided of course you have time.
thanks again

Result comes at the 1st row of the sheet and not below the sheet. Try again and write nly "up" or "down" as inputs.

Actually dijyya uploaded my strategy in old excel 2003 version but my system only works in excel 2007 and later versions so i requested him to delete the file which he did. The original file uploaded by me is still available in this thread. U can download it...

As per my strategy a sell signal comes on 9th september when in the 60 min tf intraday charts, ema 5 goes below ema 8. on the daily charts also ema 20 is below ema 50 which shows a shortterm and mediumterm downtrend.... Now shortsell and ShortCover only when ema 13/21 is up and ema 5 goes above ema 8... If ema 5 comes above ema 8 but ema 13 is still below ema 21 then dont ShortCover but Hold ur short positions....

Dear SID,
Thanks for this innovative strategy. Can u please tell how many points this strategy has made if tested backwards for say 5 years? or can u please let us all know how many days u have back tested the same and how much points net gain this strategy would have given.
