Firstly, thank you for posting your strategy for us. I believe this would be of great help to beginners like me. Unfortunately I am unable to get your file working on my computer
My platform:
Windows XP ( SP3)
MS Office 2002 ( I have downloaded and installed the 2007 file converter from your link)
Tool>Options>Calculations - set to Automatic as recommended with Max Iterations 100 and Max Change 0.001
As a result of this I'm now able to open and view your file but to work on it I'll have to save it first. Now the catch is if I save it the file format changes from '.xlsx' to '.xls' and all your formulas are lost rendering your result column useless..... any suggestions for lesser mortals like me on older versions of MS Office would be greatly appreciated as I'm very keen to try out this strategy. |
Dear sv09,
Dont convert the xlsx file format into xls format as it will not work if u convert to a old format... As u are now able to open the file thanks to the compability pack from microsoft, plz try out the strategy without converting it..... It may work for you.... Let me know if u got any success....

Dear SID,
Tried that but the file converter seems to be the culprit.....it opens your .xlsx' file in a '.xls' format so I have little choice in the file saving option....

Dear Sid, Does it mean 13/21 is a different position from 5/8 position and 20/50 yet another positon. That means three different positions for 3 strategies. Pl make it clear.

in your worksheet, daily ema20/50 needs an input. but it seems to play no role in the instructions. the trading advice is all based on ema13/21 of hourly and ema 5/8 of hourly.

I downloaded the file on the first post and the new version launched. I dont see any difference. Both are the same when opened.
Can you look into this and repost the new version if there is an error.

| SID, in addition to Nifty, Minifty and Bank Nifty, which other items can be traded based on this strategy? Some times - particularly in the current scenario, it is fearful to carry forward any position and square off during intraday only. Your observation please?
