Hey guys, According to a research middledays of the week is providing more volatility( i.e. for forex and i guess it applies to stocks also). In my observation also it is better to avoid monday for nifty day trading. Then, avoid daytrading in friday if there is a huge volatility in Thursday. Apart from that Avoid Taking early positions during event days( today is budget day). |

Ajit: No system will give results on days when market is sideways, volume is low, not much up/ down movements.
Also avoid on days when 5 min ATP at 0920 is near buy or sell level generated as the trade often leads to SL trig
The originator, Umesh1, also avoids if positional buy is at daily sell or vice versa (= indecision in market)
On the other hand if positional buy/ sell = same as daily buy/sell then very good chances of making targets
But be assured that over a period of time Gann will give you good returns (if apply strict SL and trailing SL to limit losses)
Why, there are days when 10 targets are achieve-able if you are that patient to stay invested (eg 200 pts NF, counting both long and short)
Cheers, Prakash Holla |

Dear pkholla ,
I searched the whole 300 pages of this forum.
But I did not find how to calculate positional buy and sell levels, I might have missed where it was mentioned.
Could you please guide me how to calculate positional buy and sell levels.
Thanks in advance, will be waiting for your reply. |

Excellant thoughts...I recall a research by a US trading champion who says buying DOW every week on a particular day for last 30-40 years would be successful (and going fwd as well..) Don't recall exact research...
But concepts like this based on practical experience as serious things to look at..shall follow this and see the results (including opportunities missed as negative profit) |

@ All,
be patience when you are getting SL back to back..actually yesderday sell hit 1st target...but within very few seconds after SELL entry,,so we couldn't book it..
and no system is perfect (100% sucess).. we need to tackle this by having strict MM..if u r risking more than 5% per trade,,and something goes wrong then u will be panic always..(risk per trade should be less than 2%)..
regarding filter, if u keep adding it like MA,NR7, trading days etc etc..it will loose its simplicity |
