Hi umesh
Thanks pkholla and umesh for taking so much intrest in help newbie like me.
I was just doing the paper trading taking today 26/nov/2014. I took nifty close value(8444.5) of 10 min candle @ 9.29. It was a bearish candle. The wick of this candle had crossed 8441.01.
Hence i felt it would be a selling opportunity and i shorted @ 8439 keeping SL as 8464. to my surprise the very next 2 candles were bullish candle and it hit my SL. The max value of this
candle was 8468.6. After this it reversed. Now it neither crossed 8646 not 8441..Pls let me know what i am doing is correct ,where i went wrong. |

If Umesh asks you to take ATP* (Average Traded Price) at 0920 then why are you taking close value at 0930? Now you are asking where u went wrong? You are creating your own system and using "I feel", "selling opportunity" etc but that is not provided in Umesh's system!
* ATP may be obtained in NOW provided by most brokers
Please patiently read the guidelines in word file created by Umesh for our benefit before you even do paper trading. This system picks up even the smallest trend and gives profit. Prakash Holla |

ohh ATP..but my broker has no ATP..only LTP. And the doc says 5min candle..so it means i cannt switch to any other TF like 10min or 15min and use this strategy.. |

Compromise: Keep NSE website also open for 5 minutes. Switch to webpage of Nifty Future. This page shows Volume Weighted Average Price somewhere in the middle of the trading statistics. At 0920, read and note down the VWAP and use it in Umesh's calc. |

yeah....I shall try (i.e watch) if these works for crude  - different trade timings etc.
but believe anything which is internationally linked more amenable to TA rather than a "basket" of stocks in Nifty......so shall adapt and learn. ....never though it earlier....if Gann could be combined with EW for short term trades.

you have the gann calci which is also available free on app store can download on your cell ,you have the guidelines to use.if you need more on how to use gann.theres a workshop this Saturday in Mumbai.i cant post much details

I have attended his seminar outside Mumbai . What is still missing in my repository is various degrees based gann calculator in column so that scrips can be tracked as to which angle they prefer taking ..... During that day he could decisively give examples of a "single day "where many many scrips hit standard gann levels at bottom of the day from top or vice versa.
But at least 3 days course would make some difference to trading .... |
