So Umesh Sir short activated below 8464?

you have the gann calci which is also available free on app store can download on your cell ,you have the guidelines to use.if you need more on how to use gann.theres a workshop this Saturday in Mumbai.i cant post much details
regards

I have attended his seminar outside Mumbai . What is still missing in my repository is various degrees based gann calculator in column so that scrips can be tracked as to which angle they prefer taking ..... During that day he could decisively give examples of a "single day "where many many scrips hit standard gann levels at bottom of the day from top or vice versa.
But at least 3 days course would make some difference to trading ....

Very true there are various levels of courses wrt gann.
this is the most simple strategy for a beginner to get used to a systematic trading one can always hone their trading skills.

cheers

ohh ATP..but my broker has no ATP..only LTP. And the doc says 5min candle..so it means i cannt switch to any other TF like 10min or 15min and use this strategy..

Compromise: Keep NSE website also open for 5 minutes. Switch to webpage of Nifty Future. This page shows Volume Weighted Average Price somewhere in the middle of the trading statistics. At 0920, read and note down the VWAP and use it in Umesh's calc.

Hi pkholla,

I had a doubt..if were are trading futures then taking ATP is ok. But if we are trading options then how can we take ATP bcos options values are dependent on spot value rt. So if ATP is say 8610(which would be future value) then the spot value might be say 8590 or 8595..so taking ATP will work for calculating gann values for options also?

Very good doubt. Work out the ATP for Nifty future and proceed as instructed by Umesh to get Fut values
How I solve this problem is to have 2 pages of IC open in the same computer (u can even keep 3 open as long as they are on same computer, otherwise admin will think 2 people are using same log in)
One page for IC JCP and one page for JC Opt = 1/2 screen each, side by side. The two charts will be similar looking, so you can work out the EQUIVALENT value in the options chart. Use these values for your sell, stop loss sell etc for trading
Prakash Holla
PS A more complicated procedure which is not needed, as above is very simple, is to get an option value calculator (Black- Sholes method) and obtain the option values equivt to future values predicted by Umesh's Gann calc

1 Very wise. I do the same.
2 In the beginning only go for buy option = limited loss = investment, unlimited profit ( sell option = limited profit, loss= unlimited)
3 So for long = buy call
4 For short = buy put
5 Better go for 8500, 8600 etc as not much volume even now in 8550, 8650, 8750 etc

Hi all,
buy options only when entry is triggered, for at the money options targets come to every 7 to 9 points depends on strike,do not increase your size in few days or weeks, first have the fruits then sow the seeds of it.never increase your initial margin, and regularly take payouts however small.
cheers

I havent taken options atp into consideration ,one can take nifty spot atp if wish to trade only with nifty options intraday
This strategy is for beginners to get into a disciplined system, one should be able to accept sl the same way as with targets unfortunately people start changing /hunting for no stoploss systems if there stoploss hits two or three systems, every system has a draw down.theres no need to take or get confirmation as market/price doesnt wait and the guidelines are clear about entries and exits.for beginners start with one lot for a month.i prefer to write options than buying ,for long write puts for shorts write calls.
cheers regards

Trading is an art. Like any other business, it takes long, hard, disciplined effort to become a successful trader. The journey may be long, but the rewards can be great if you persist through. Here are 5 points to keep in mind to remain on track:

1. Maintain a trading diary. Use it to record all your trades (especially your mistakes).
2. Routinely read through your diary. This helps in remaining objective.
3. Share your experience with other traders. This helps you gain perspective.
4. Cut losses early by using a real stop order. Mental stops don’t work!
5. Backtest thoroughly. Trading is a continuous process of discovery and optimisation.

Happy Trading!
