Hello,

This is a very simple technique for candlestick chart lovers. I like this technique because it is pretty simple to use and simply gives buy and sell signals for a trend.

Heikin ashi chart identifies a trend more effortlessly. Hollow candles with no lower shadows are used to signal a strong uptrend, while filled candles with no higher shadow are used to identify a strong downtrend. Ofcourse needless to say one has to use another technical trends to make a decision.

I have tried to create a simple excel to create the chart. Hope you people like it.

Good work shekar kulkarni.. very simple and effective technique.

After searching the net for Heiken Ashi, i found this Amibroker Formula file that would be useful for all members.

This is how it looks after implementation..



Instructions: Download the attachment. Rename heiken.txt to heiken.afl , and save to C:\Program Files\AmiBroker\Formulas\Custom\ (this is my default path)

Open Amibroker, and apply this indicator. Plz comment. Thanx

Using the Heiken Ashi with ADX (Avg. Directional Movement Index) shud prove to be a deadly combination
