Hi All
I am enclosing herewith my trading journal which I kept in a diary in written for NIFTY-27JAN2011. All actions like Buy, Sell, Revising Trailing Stop Loss are indicated alongwith my profits actually earned using Swing Trading Strategy. Time also given so that one can verify price details given by me. What I want to know is this kind of performance is good enough to trade consistently using this strategy.
Please comment and also take the poll.

Till now in January NIFTY moved in about 629 points range.
You got 244 points which are around 39% (that's not even average performance)
But no one can get 100% taking maximum gettable points are 75% i.e. 472 points then your marks comes to 52%. I will have to give GOOD.
But please share your strategy also. |

I ll give u gooood as I see ur trades are swings.... so accc to swings thats gooood.... Can get bettter but this much is also goood.

I use ATR for Initial as well as Trailing Stops |

I would like to know whether your rank will change if I had earned around 172 points in Dec 2010 using the same strategy.
Since I not maintained these trades in Diary I cant give details but earned in just two trades in Dec. 2010 One trade +180 another trade -8 Net +172 points |

How does it matter if you earned 180 pts or 172 pts. As long as you are making profit howsoever small it may be you are a successful trader.
You must thank almighty that he has chosen you to be the blessed one. In this market 95 % traders loose money and you are among the successful 5% who have gained. Don't try to improve or tinker with your system of trading lest it becomes your undoing.

I think me and all traders are greedy even if we make money we try to earn more and think whatever we are earning is not significant amount.

First Long on 2-Feb @ 5478 exited on 4-Feb @ 5496 on Trailing SL = + 18
Second Long on 11-Feb @ 5296 exited on 17-Feb @ 5480 on Trailing SL = +184
Third Short on 18-Feb @ 5495 Trailing with SL 5521
Realized gains 202 points Unrealized gain 28 points.
Hope Feb-2011 will be best month in last 3 months since I am following this method. |
