In the same book, Gladwell also talks of the 10000 hour rule.
It is defined (and quoted from Mark Flanagan's review) as below.
'In the first part of the book, Gladwell profiles high achievers and the historical conditions surrounding their successes, illustrating anecdotally how they prove what Gladwell calls the 10,000 Hour Rule, that mastery at anything - music, programming, sports, chess (I would add trading here)- is dependent upon 10,000 hours of practice, roughly three hours a day over the course of ten years.. In his illustrations, Gladwell shows how these individuals were provided with unique opportunities to log these critical practice hours'
How many of us have the mental toughness, discipline and wherewithal
to follow through.
Yes, it is very difficult, but not impossible.
have a great day, all
Cheers

Rainbow, where have you been?
You talked about 1000 hours of training? As per our very old tradition, musicians were supposed to have mastered a "cheez or a raga" if they practiced it 100,000 times. |

Hi Vinay:
Yes, 10000 hour rule was prolly designed by India in the ages
and got plagiarised by the western world and got presented
to us in a diff avatar maybe
Have been AWOL for a while now. Not active on icharts.
but like Arnold Shivajinagar (oops) says in 'The terminator', *I will be back*
Been busy with a bit of brick and mortar activity. Should be back
into the online world soon.
