All periods are calculated--

if u want at least 200 points every month on consistent then

3EMA-- 34 EMA cross over-- 30 Min TF---let candle close n on opening trade.

few rules:

1} Ur EMA gave short at 5690 on friday, don"t see high was 5760-- dont see we fallen too much, Don"t listen friends, broker, TV, other charts-- News, FII inflow. Just trade Mechanically, No emmotions--- you will win sure

Look when i started this silver trades many said me risk reward is bad-- target 150 -- SL 400--500-- let it be-- atleast allow it to hit SL- last 30 trading days 98 % success , why will i listen others, Friends who follow silver they said look it will blast--look it will crash--- let it go to hell

I will see 12-- 1 PM high n low-- n trade -- one day i made long and booked 150 points-- as i place sell order same time,, silver rallied 2100 points.., Let it rally--- i want 150 only n only


that u have to decide and stick on

its your money--look i am trading from last 6 years-- and till last 1 month-- i was big failureeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
as i knew what to trade but influenced by others i have to buy cairn-- but people said short--i shorted n lost money-- NO dont do that

just follow system--- short at 5690--let nifty gap up-- never mind-- it will give exit n long-- why worried

there is always first day-- so monday is first day--start it

HOW TO identify IF THE MRKET IS TRENDING OR IS RANGE BOUND?

I fully agree with arjun wen he says we might have to take losses in a range bound market.

can some one give tips as to how to identify a range bound market.

i m sharing some pointers frm whatever little knowledge i hve :
mkt is range bound when :

1. look for high and lows in the price, if the previous high or low is not broken
2. if bb is forming a very narrow channel
3. if 8 sma and 34 sma r very close to each other
4. when dmi is below red and green ine

It will be better for us if u can note down once gain 3-34 EMA strat rules for 30min TF as well as EOD also. Bcos there is some confusion @ 34 EMA values. Whether it is Close EMA value only? and no low and high EMA values in both TFs?
Also entry/exit should be on 3-34 crossovers or price just closing above 3EMA?...(the way it was in8-34 EMA case)
Also where do u see Commo charts , where u can plot 55 SMA high/low values?

Rahul, I have two questions

1. When vijaykannan first posted this thread in dec 10, he had mentioned 8 and 34 ema. Are you now confirming that it should be 3 and 34 ema?

2. For some reason, I am unable to change ema value in jcharts (EOD). Can I not work on jcharts (premium)?

Sir,

1} I just checked 8 Ema-- 34 Ema-- EOD-- and ws not happy with the results-- as was not gaining more then 5000 points in any case--

2}then searched 55 SMA --high, low , n close-- not good returns--

3} 3 Ema-- 7Ema-- 34 Ema-- Eod-- not satisfied

4} few other ways i tested--

But finally i could see 3 EMA-- 34 EMA is best --gave almost 7500 points--

and for smaller time frame also 3EMA--34 EMA is good on 30 min TF--last
Monthley gain is 250--300 points

I will back test this as long as possible on 30 min TF also-- and post

I have posted all trades of 3 EMS 34 EMA-- EOD here
