[prafullkathe: can you give any guidance in cash trading positional]
praful: i have already shared most of my views with you. i believe in simple trading
try to buy shares you dont mind holding eg lt, titan, ktkbank, hul etc (good mgt, good results, dividend, volumes)
see the daily candles chart, you can establish a range bound pattern where the scrip rises and falls between 2 levels. if you enter at low of the channel, i guarantee that u will make money irrespective of poor monsoon, poor $-Re rate etc!
(as a bonus, while u wait for share for rise to upper bound you can try my seeta-geeta-hema intra trading with covered short!)
eg bancoindia is nowadays trading between 95 and 110. if u enter at 95, how you can lose?
eg for long time, titan was trading between 215 and 235-40, if you had entered at 215 and exited at 235, you would have made a ton of money many times and if u were lucky to hold on when it zoomed, u would have booked profits around 300!

1 how to trade using level of jcharts premium
short: suppose u have 100 shares ITC, place 1 share at higher level suggested by IC, or 2 levels up etc depending on strength of rally: volumes, buyers/sellers nos, previous history of stock
Also see daily candles view as this many times gives idea where TODAY'S price may face resistance/ support
When 1 share trig, then review the chart and whether you feel it is SAR or pause and continue. Accordingly sell the remaining OR place selling at higher level
Once sold immediately place buying at day's low or suitable IC level and give the market a chance to square off and feed you intra day profit!
(A few days back I did intra THREE times in SSLT at or near IC levels)
Keep ADX indicator on: avoid trading when low around 20, if it starts moving up then trend up/ down is stronger. very strong when 50, when adx peaks (at 65, 70?) then you can be reasonably sure scrip is changing direction. if IC level and ADX peak coincide then very good chance of SAR (ADX is average value of DM+ and DM- and sign less and does not by itself indicate bull or bear)

2 is it for intraday
one set provided for intraday and one set provided for week (I usually use only intraday levels as I believe in booking profits: "KAL KISNE DEKHA HAI"?

3 and how to choose the stock
Keep a few scrips in mind only, you will go crazy following 100 scrips! (I follow ktkbank, divis, castrol, sslt, sbin etc)
+++ share must have reasonable/ large volumes so it is NOT being manipulated by a few like KP, RJ and other bul-buls!

see bse-india, results (middle of page, right side) and check whether company has reasonable turnover, profit, sales/ profit growth?

better to avoid useless companies like suzlon, kfa

better to avoid life and death competition companies like aviation, telecom and also strict govt control loss making like BPCL, HPCL

better to avoid index future/ option at a time like today with low volumes and sideways or whip-saw movements thruout the day

if you are careful type better restrict to top 50, 100, 200, 500 nse scrips (google, you will get lists): safe, good management. when u r expert can also start dabbling in penny stocks

in bse-india check PEER COMPARISON at left of screen to see how scrip compares with others in same industry eg ITC and other tobacco companies etc

in money control see comments to check what bombay/ ahmedabad experts on the street say about your scrip (I have saved many thousands by reading this before buying)

even if only one scrip gives all green signals in one day, this is enough and you will earn nicely

I follow what I call seeta-geeta-hema (tri-devi) system
I buy at positional low eg jswhl has a low around 350 (delivery)
After that, every day, I sell at a suitable IC level higher than purch= positional profit (geeta)
If I can buy back at lower (usually IC) level then intra profit (seeta)
You may remember the classic Hema Malini picture
seeta+ geeta = hema
(I did this seeta-geeta-hema the whole month with jswhl in Nov 2012 and only gave delivery when it shot up 70 rs above my selling price!)

very useful suggestions..thank you..

The most important lesson to be learned for traders like me from your posting is to buy the lows and sell the highs [ a "demand supply system"] and regular profit booking system........since all novices and impulsive traders like me would & may just allow greed to take over somewhat and forget this.....

Icharts jcharts prem has 13 levels in all.

5 levels on bull side 5 levels on bear side , with bull , bear and LOC apart from these levels

important thing is
study of opening candle
deciding which side one shd act
after taking action , having sl strategy and strictly following that.
action after reversal during day if it is .

and important booking profit before a profitable trade turns into lossy one .

for which following levels based on which timeframe displayed in also critical

I am NOT trading index FnO nowadays because of whipsaw, sideways, low volumes but even here I noticed just now:
NF has paused at 7621 hi (IC level 7618.3)
Wide gap between 2 lines of MACD, peaking & narrowing
5 min TF candles are moving sideways after leaving UBB
ADX and DM+ at peak, DM- at bottom indicating likely trend change
Volume which went high falling back sharply
So>>> at least pause and continue IF NOT SAR

You cannot go wrong with IC levels esp if you confirm with other parameters (in the way suggested by svkum or by any method u prefer)

Cheers, Prakash Holla

SVK Sir & Prakash Ji,

Request you to kindly give some actionable point. for example if the price has move up from LOC and has Crossed the BULL level, where should be the SL, should you go long on LOC? so many questions!! or do we apply basic PA on this?

regards,

3 of my positional (and fav) ghodas are in the race to fill my purse!
itc, ktkbank and sslt are moving nicely
placed min qty selling at IC JPC levels
Will it be Geeta = posit profit?
Or Seeta= intra profit?
Cheers, Prakash Holla

Update1: SSLT sold 1200@ 300, IC level 301.02, hi 301 (waited for double top so got sl. less selling price), already nice posit profit = geeta
placed buyback @ 294.5 = another IC level!

Update 2: SSLT, I removed 600 from 294.5 level buy order and placed higher at 295.1 seeing the stickiness and low volumes! Market made a low at 295.05 and I bot back 600! Now 50% holding giving seeta intra profit and 50% giving geeta posit profit. Doesnt matter how they come as long as they keep coming!

Last update @ 1526: SSLT, giving 1/2 delivery and keeping 1/2
Waiting for better price in ITC, ktkbank which is sure to come tomorrow

Cheers, Prakash Holla

sslt, ktkbank and itc are all in the race to fill up my purse

It is just 0930 and sslt achieved the IC JPC level of 304.49, overshot to 305.7 hi and is now moving sideways. Already achieved nice posit profit of Rs 8/ shr in 600 shares = geeta, now lets see whether seeta (intra) also attainable!
(Rs 9150 annual subscription for JCP should be seen as investment, just like education kharcha, and it can be recovered in 1 deal as I did in early Nov 2010)
Jeetay Raho! Prakash Holla
Update @ 1430: Went out but IC levels were working for me in my absence. Ktkbank shot past the levels i had placed part sells: 142.22, 143.53 and paused near 144.84 (r5) before finally ending up at hi = 145.8. No problem as my sales at earlier levels also enough to meet my monthly trading profit target!
3 cheers to IC Admin for wonderful levels.

itc is my fav ghoda today to adhere to ic jpc levels and fill my coffers

but i dont mind doing T20 also:
recl showed nice bullishness and prompted by my broker bot 1000@ 373 and sold just now @ 379, square off within 25 minutes!

GUESS WHICH SHARE RESPECTED IC JPC LEVELS??? I sold a bit early to make sure, BUT RECL had recent hi of 379.75 (so far day hi also) and IC gave level of 379.70 >>>> LAGAY RAHO MUNNABHAI>>> now RECL moving sideways now with lower volumes

(prev hi at 0924 was 376.6 with IC level of 376.3, corrected to lo of 370.1 ~ ic level 369.75, and went up again) !!!!!!!

T20 is the best way to play the crazy market being simult. taken up by budget (over) expectations and simult. brought down by monsoon/ Ukraine/ Iraq/ China realities!

In 1980 there was Bhutan state lottery giving first prize of Rs 1 cr. We could not even imagine what all we could buy with Rs 1 cr in the days of Ambassador, Bajaj scooter, etc

By following IC JPC levels, every day is 1980 ka Bhutan lottery first prize for me!
Hi so far 334.8, IC level 334.29, and sold posit holdings at 334.4
3 cheers for IC admin for another fantastic level
Prakash Holla
Update1: ITC fell to 332.65 lo, immediately after reaching IC JPC level
Update2: ITC fell to 330.5 lo by 1220

3 cheers to IC admin for providing wonderful IC Levels service as part of J Ch Premium package

Today I confidently placed sell for 400 LT @ 1484.75 looking at suggested level of 1484.95, and high turned out to be 1485 in that wave
Nice contribution to my Friday EOW "holy water" therapy!

By trading Sobha De (-velopers) with an eye to IC levels I have made excellent profits for THIRD DAY RUNNING. Monday positional and last 2 days intra

Thank you IC admin, Prakash Holla
