Guys

Please use days High and Low as Gann inputs for next days long/short targets. Back testing gives quite good results.

Check if the following day is a weekly or daily pivot. Generally if prices get stuck at pivot it gives whipsaws and kills all strategies. Otherwise Gann gives pretty good results.

Regards,

Opportunist.

Hi Sherbaaz and Venkat,

Thanks for posting !

I have two questions:

1. Do you wait for the entry as per GANN level or do you enter the trade as soon as the price levels are crossed ? Sometimes the price level is breached for short period but it again comes back in short interval. How do you handle such situations ?

2. Secondly, how do you decide whether to cut position at T1 or T2 or T3 or T4 ? Do you use TSL or Do you liquidate partial quantity at each target ? or any other method ?

Would be grateful if you can reply.

Thanks

Sherbaaz Bhai...love you thanks

This Gann trade typically has a 17-18 pt stop loss. When sl hits, it gives atleast t3 in the opposite direction

Monita,

I'm new to Gann. I am backtesting it and I feel I can play for intraday with two lots. The stoploss is 18-19 points and first target is usually 15 points. I was backtesting and observing it for past two weeks and I am going to trade only from monday. Gann is marvelous in one way, however flat a market is, nifty moves atleast 30-35 points and that movement is enough for Gann to achieve its first target and if luck favours even T2. I thank Sherbaaz ji for sharing his intraday calculator.

Now to your question, If the buy or sell level is breached I would prefer to leave that day for trade. If it comes down to buy level before reaching T1 or to retest the stoploss then I would enter. This is the well known appraoch with any strategy.

Trading with two lots,I feel the first lot can be booked at T1 and trail sl for other lot. This is my method but would like to hear from the experts. I too have asked Spiritualtrader for trade management in this thread and still awaiting his response in position sizing and profit booking. I request Sherbaaz ji and spiritualtrader ji to throw some light on this topic.

Regards,
Venkat
