Where do you see it going, Vinay? Technically and/or fundamentally.
I have been trading in it from levels of 55-odd. Booked profits regularly and re-entered later - I rarely got opportnity to reenter at lower prices though I am not complaining. My last purchases are around 200-250 levels in March-April-May this year.

Also, any comments on JK Tyres? Helios and Matheson?

oh I don't know about any of them. I forgot about rs soft and didn't study and hence didn't buy. came to know today about its rise. but after such a rise, one has to be careful.

hanu1984

You asked about small scrips. Assuming your query is for long term investment only, let me give a few points for you to remember before you take any decision.

1. most of small scrips are scams, in the last many decades.

2. Small scrips always start going up during such big market rallies, only to see them vanish once dust settles. Most of this is due to either promoters selling their stake and getting out or some large operators playing similar game.

3. Many otherwise good companies are priced very low either due to bad economy in last 6 years or mis-management. Very few of them really make a come back.

4. Therefore, it is stupid to buy on tips given by "paanwalas" and their pimps. You must have some logic to buy them and for that you should have done a thorough study of their fundamentals and technical along with study of that sectors and its peers in that sector.

Therefore, to begin with, you may go through the following thread to understand basic tenets for investing in any scrip.

http://www.icharts.in/forum/a-simple-strategy-for-investment-t4929,postorder,desc,start,30.html

I will only give three scrips as example here, namely, KFA, Veer Energy and Resurgere Mines. If situation in that sector improves a great deal and if some solution can be found for them and if their managements are good in future, they will do well in long term. Having said this, you MUST remember that it is very risky to invest in them at this stage but if you want to take advantage of their low price, the Stop Loss is zero for the present.

I have unnecessarily come in limelight due to my buy of marksan pharma but I have always maintained that I was lucky and I can't expect to by lucky like this even 1 out of 10 times. Now do your own study of low priced stocks. and, I suggest, post your findings in that thread.

Very true Vinay
And not nec only the paan-wala but there also other pimps like brokers. These pimp- brokers want to earn more and more brokerage and to hell with you AND also to oblige some other client by raising demand so that their fav one can sell at good price before any collapse
I was suckered into entering Resurgere, in Nov 2010, (now called RMMIL) by pimps of Int Ent, Madras HQ at their Bangalore 3 branch. Still holding and praying for a bigger fool to come along!

RIL cleared a crucial hurdle of 1012. now it must sustain, at least a weekly close above 1000.

refreshingly put Laughing

I know someone who has it too and he also has shares in some other stocks, apparently which are managed. He still believes in their growth story and for other managed stocks thinks result will come good and stock will run... How to smack sense into such thinking.
