Hello friends,
This strategy is for purely intraday.It has given me 600 points gain in last 6 days after brokerage. ( my bkg is 2.5 points per lot of nf ,all cost calculated).
This is not paper trading, these are real trades.
STRATEGY
1) Time frame 3-min for EMA CROSSOVER and 5- min for PSAR (PARABOLIC STOP AND REVERSE)
2)In 3min tf, EMA3 and EMA15 cross over to be taken for buy and sell
3) if we get a buy signal from ema cross over, then look at psar for confirmation as follow
4)make time frame 5-min,select PSAR, add 20-ema.
if psar is below the cmp and cmp is above 20-ema, then it is a CONFIRMED BUY.(After step 3 then step 4)
5)Always buy 2 lots.Book 1 lot at +15 point , 2nd lot at +30 points.
If CONFIRMED SELL SIGN is generated, then reverse position.

| In the strategy in a day 6-8 signals r generated and good profit can be made if all signals are followed.

Dear Sonila,
Thank you for the strategy. Can you please clarify the below points
1) Suppose the EMA CO occurs, but at that time we do not have the psar and ema confirmation to satisfy the 2nd condition. We are not taking the trade. However, after 3 or 4 candles if the second is also satisfied, do we initiate the trade or leave this traed
2) What would be the stop loss. Do we wait for the next cross and revesre the position??
Request you to throw some light on these two things...

sonila,
I dun wana use two time frame or switch betw two time frames all the time so i had used ema crossover of 2 and 9 in 5 min tf instead of ema 3 and 15 crossover in 3 min tf. I think it works the same. Ur opinion reqd.

Vishal Kale's question is very much justified. If you Ist look at 3 Min charts for fast cross over i.e. 3x15 EMA and then you shift to higher time frame of 5 Min you will get your 4th condition satisfied only after few candles.
So it is obvious to ask such question.
and also he is asking for stop loss which you have not mentioned anywhere
or do you think that strategy is so strong that you don't at all need stop loss

I have never tried this strategy in stocks, but u have done an excellent job by back testing reliance, now i am confident that it will work on stocks.
VISHALKALE & AMITKBAID,
I have added this confirmation of PSAR with 5-min TF as it will save from some whipsaws.
There is no stop loss because u r reversing the position with the signal. But if u want u can keep a sl of 15 points as our first profit booking point is +15 points.

Hi Sonila,
Today on NF cross over happened at 9:50 on 3min chart and on 5mins chart we got the buy signal at 10:15... During this time price has moved by 20 points... I've attached the chart for your reference. Please tell me how you handle this and also how to handle whipsaws..?

| Guru, if u back test with eod charts, there will be lot of variation because candles are of 5mins duration. But observe during mkt hrs, u can definitely get good entry and exit.

| One thing i had forgotten to mention. Confirmation with psar is to be done with nifty spot not with nifty future.

Sonila sorry to say but your trades are not substantiated by Charts and market data.
Regarding all you trades I feel that they are not strictly as per your own strategy/set up. These trades are as shown are surely taken even before condition 4 is fulfilled. Further they are not shown as stopped out whenever reverse crossover happens.
What I feel is that this strategy has one basis flaw i.e. it looks at higher time frame after spotting trade/trend on smaller time frame which is not logical.
Any way if you are really making such big money continue with you ******* whatever
