Good question. Here are the descriptions of our charting tools:
Charts (Old) : These are on their way out. These are just plain images generated by our first charting programs. They are quite okay but have fewer indicators and there are few internal drawing problems in few cases. We will be removing these in the future.
Charts : Our regular charts (End of day charts only available). These are plain image charts. No drawing (trendline, fibo etc) possible.
Charts (Premium) : Available to registered users only. Regular charts plus historical intraday charts. These are plain image charts. No drawing (trendline, fibo etc) possible. These do have a fibonacci retracement tool but it is too inflexible to use.
jCharts : Available to registered users only. Fully interactive java charts (java applet based). You can draw trendlines, fibonacci retracements, any text etc. All your drawings can be saved to our database (on click on the save studies button) and then automatically restored when you come back to the same chart. All settings (colours, indicators, button selections etc) are stored in the database and restored when you come back to the chart. Intraday live auto-updateable & historical intraday charts are also available. Live charting will be available only on jCharts in the near future. jCharts will be available only as a paid service in the future.
Live Charts : Available to registered users only. Live auto-updateable plain image charts. These will be removed (only jCharts is to be used for live charting).
Let me know if you need more info. _________________ Srikanth Kurdukar
