Stop loss was too high for the trade to be taken as per the volatility..

No stop loss.

In the earlier statement i meant to say was in case if trade went wrong ST was 100 points which was more than a days atr of crude.. so i avoided that trade

nd what if the same situation happens in lead nd aluminium...
please write 1 more rule when not to take trades..

I have mentioned this earlier some where in thread when difference is too high avoid the trade, if you see daily atr is near 65 and and difference was nearly 100 so avoid trading at those time. it is not a rule...but just to keep at back of your mind...

ATR value changes time to time. there is no fixed value for it...

Frankly speaking it is just think i use Crude. i don't think i have every done that in lead or aluminum,, because volatility is not much in those scripts..

in case you want to use just check the ATR and when you take a trade trade if the difference is more then ATR try avoid trade at that time...i do it very rarely and that to in crude...
