I have few quesries regarding the whips :
Alum: the trades around 24 jan ... how you handled those 2 trades ? A close above 40 ema still ended in whip... Any other filter u use?
LeaD: trades between 30 jan 4 feb.. the same query as above..
Please let me know when u r free

hi,
whips during market hours are part of trading, we cannot know if that trade is a whip or proper trade. i take all the trades...i do not have any other filter...
for gaps against my trade , for example in when i am short
i do one thing i have a position and next day if trades open at a gap against my position i wait for the second to close above first candles high.
if does than i square of my position . and if it closes below first candle i add one lot short position with sl @ first candles high..

currently Lead will give buy if 1.30 candle close above 130... what are yr levels bro ? |

yes alum is in good runn.... lead whipped..... zinc also whipped i think...
so bro can u explain me your money management rules which u follow and what is the margin u keeping |
few things i learn from experts is always take all the trades whips are part of trading..the whip took 750 only but gave huge movement after that...always follow the system...
Money management is simple bro for me i trade with two lots book one lot @ 25 paise rest moves with trend...
I have kept it very simple.. just buy when ST give buy and with EMA confirmation..same for sell. always trade with 2 lots book one at 25 paise, rest moves..
I am a trader- with other duties , i just look @ charts every half an hour...so i had to keep this simple..

i would recommend somewhere around 70 to 80k 2 times your margin.

Hi Rohan,
First of all, thanks for starting this thread. I have also switched recently to commo from equity after suggestions from some senior traders.
I have a query: almost every Super Trend trader i have seen uses an EMA along with ST. Can u please elaborate on the role of the EMA in entering/exiting trades?
Also, have you tested ST on scrips like NG, mentha oil? Can you share your views on same?

Hi Akash
Ema is for confirmation only while entering trades, for long price should be above ema and vice versa for short
It works very good on crude and NG, didnot test for menthaoil. I checked @ naturalgas's thread he uses 5,2 on 15 min for menthaoil

So, you trade a long signal only if price is above EMA and reject the signal if its below EMA? Have i understood correctly? So, EMA here works as a filter?

I put Sl order when i am not in front of machine, i usualy do not put becuase lead and alumin do not freak moves. ,if i put i add ATR 8 to ST and put my SL order.

Its still short...
@ these times you can a short position because risk is very low.
