Dear
i would like to share my little knowledge with u,
the losses which i made in nifty futures since four years, that i covered this year,
i never play options bec i am not an expert.

when DI crosses the upper or lower lines------ 25, i will be very cautious. bec this points i consider as market bottom or top
Until i find divergence in this point, i just take with small lots nifty.
when i find div, i average with huge quantity,

now i booked 75% of nifty lots which i started to buy on march around 4900,

no hurry, it is not the matter of one day or one hour.
main thing is i have to keep good margin for this futures,
better to maintain two demat acount one for long term trade(i prefer ICICI)
another short term (I prefer zerodha)
cal ur profits and losses seperately in both.
happy trade
chennuru

Chennuru,

thanks for recounting your experience and also sharing your trades.
DI will require volume.
For NF, which numbers do you take as volume? The bhavcopy has only one entry which I think of taking as volume, i.e.," VAL_INLAKH".
Please guide.

Can you post the DI behaviour during 2008-2009 period to see if it serves well during very strong trends too?

regards,

Chennuru, is your SL DI crossing upper or lower lines? Or is it something else and do you trail your SL?
