NSE Breadth Oscillator as on 1st MAR 2019
Some encouraging improvement in both medium and long term breadth oscillators. I would be watching closely the action of medium term oscillator when we next get a short term breadth decline. The upturn of short term oscillator after that decline should take medium term up strongly (for a decent rally) or a bit after that (like Nov '18 upthrust in medium term oscillator after Oct end short term oscillator decline). I am also hoping we rally above Dec top on NIFTY500 index.
One important thing to note is that there have been lots of sound technical bases and breakouts from such bases by small and medium stocks. This is an encouraging sign and one that should be monitored closely. You could do that here : http://www.icharts.in/stock-lists/uptrends.html _________________ Srikanth Kurdukar

Significant shift in Market Internals?
Last 8-10 days has shown good move in internal breadth. Attached chart shows number of stocks that have moved up/down by 5% on that day. We see that both number of stocks advancing 5% has gone by significantly and at the same time number of stocks declining 5% has gone down notably.
@Sun08 had earlier pointed out that he has observed mid/small companies moving well recently. I feel the same now looking at this and the stock list I pointed out in my previous post. I hope this trend continues.
You can view this chart (and other variations) on our sister site here : https://www.fundata.in/AdvDecMoves.html
*** NOTE: You can also get to this chart by going to http://www.fundata.in and clicking "Market Breadth" _________________ Srikanth Kurdukar

Sun08,
The stocks you mentioned are there but just down the list (not displayed). The current list is based on short + medium term linear regressions of stocks. This criteria is quite old, we now have better criteria. Will try and update this soon.
The current list displays stocks that are moving strongly in recent history (20-60 days). _________________ Srikanth Kurdukar

NSE Breadth Oscillator as on 5th MAR 2019
Great move in both price and breadth today. One more such push is necessary / desirable to push both price above recent highs and medium and long term breadth further high. Hoping to see it soon. _________________ Srikanth Kurdukar

NSE Breadth Oscillator as on 6th Mar 2019
That's more like it. Super move on both medium term and long term oscillators and price also getting close to recent highs on NIFTY500. Clearing the highs and breadth continuing up would market a significant change and indicate probability of sustained up move. As mentioned earlier, tons of stocks making great moves.
Keeping fingers crossed.... _________________ Srikanth Kurdukar

ST, most of the indices are (highly) overbought and some reaction/consolidation is in order.
Pl also see my post of 05/02.

Yes, that is very much possible and it is fine. Reaction / consolidation is expected. But it looks like some kind of an upmove is possible from here for a while. I am expecting this as long as the breadth picture stays supportive.
The next round turn of short term breadth would be crucial to watch, medium and long need to hold steady during this turn. _________________ Srikanth Kurdukar
