Updated OTM PCR Rank chart (03.10.2013)

What a move!!! Nice!!! OTM PCR rank has had a major change. It is now significantly below 50%. So now there is a possibility that this could turn into an uptrend. But according to my trading rule price must now break above a resistance (after today's event of OTM PCR going below 50%). This means it has to clear the 19th high. But for me 5960 was critical for risk management. I will look at tomorrow's move and decide to hedge my put if market sustains above 5960. This kind of action on OTM PCR had happened during Feb-Mar-Apr 2012 sideways to down move after the huge Jan-Feb 2012 rally. So unless we break above the 19th high things can go either way.

probably rank will cross 80% tmrw or on Monday.

ST, could you find out whether pcr used in chart is available intraday?

I think so too. Will be holding my put, maybe with a hedge if price sustains above the current level. But price will have to do a lot more to get back into an uptrend from here.

We are in the process of making changes to the intraday feed database. I should probably be able to generate intraday OTM PCR in the near future. Will let you know once I am able to. But I am not sure how much it will help...let us see.

agreed that it won't help normally but I imagined that it could, particularly when rank shows signs of going to an extreme in a day or two. e.g. if it gos to an extreme tmrw or monday, we may get a chance of an early entry without having to wait for next day. Of course, we need to make sure it doesn't boomrang! Smile

Updated OTM PCR Rank chart (04.10.2013)

Price has not yet done enough to make me hedge my put. Will decide on it on Monday if we see a forceful move up. OTM PCR is more or less neutral at this time with bias more on the downside. This would change only if we get a strong move up with price breaking above nearby resistances.

True, but we will require a new high for it to come into play. Let us see...

Updated Market Breadth chart (04.10.2013)

Next moves in the market are crucial. Long term breadth is improving fast, if we can get a pullback without damaging the long term breadth we could see a sustained uptrend. If the next pullback is serious then the picture could turn bad quickly. We seem to be near a pullback as intermediate term breadth is extremely overbought.

Is it a H&S pattern or a cup&handle in Nifty.

I should have this chart somewhere, I had posted it earlier but have not updated it for a while now. I will post it here once I find it.

Here you go...found it, updated it. I am posting both the raw PE/CE avg premium and also the "rank" chart of the avg.
