Yes, here medium term breadth is the key. As I mentioned recently, it is holding up well during the current fall. If it can stay above zero throughout this fall, it would be very positive.

NSE Breadth Oscillator as on 21st SEP 2018
Bad day today in the markets. Breadth took a big hit obviously. Medium term breadth is now down below zero. So we now get into tricky territory. If we bounce back immediately early next week then it could still be okay but lots of charts have been damaged by today's move and it could take a while for the market to get back into bullish groove.
One positive thing is, I always look forward to times when BOTH short-term and medium-term breadth are at their lows (marked with circles on the chart). One gets great stock picking opportunities during these times. So that is one thing I am looking forward to if we keep going down from here.
But there is no need to hurry. I like to buy stocks coming out of strong bases and with a bit of patience we will get those.

Both short-term and medium-term oscillators are down sharply today. Short-term breadth is almost at the bottom and medium-term is fast getting there. Wait and watch mode now....very interesting time

NSE Breadth Oscillator as on 25th SEP 2018
Short-term breadth at bottom, medium term near -80 close to bottom, long term at bottom. Do note that with all oscillators at bottom, it is not automatically a buy trigger. It can take time for the market to turn and start rallying. But one could get good buying opportunities soon at least for short to medium term if not long term.

No, breadth was flat yesterday. Would like to see one more push down from here so medium term can hit extreme. But in any case there has been significant deterioration of overall breadth in this down move.

| true ST, atleast we can expect a pullback rally of few hundred points when the oscillators hit the bottom. |
