NSE Breadth Oscillator as on 28th SEP 2018
All three oscillators - long, medium & short - are at the bottom. Start focusing on price action of leading stocks (the ones that did not go down much in the recent decline) and indexes. I will be buying only leading stocks that breakout first after this decline is done. I strongly feel one should not preempt a rally and buy just because oscillators are at the bottom. Price action is the key. _________________ Srikanth Kurdukar

NSE Breadth Oscillator as on 1st Oct 2018
All oscillators at rock bottom, market is oversold and could be due for a short pullback. A proper intermediate term rally will probably require some consolidation time to repair the big damage done to most stocks. _________________ Srikanth Kurdukar

Yes, they continue to be at the bottom (they all hit bottom on 1st Oct). Short-term usually doesn't stay there for long so a pullback may be due anytime now. Nothing much to do but wait for the price to do the talking. _________________ Srikanth Kurdukar

NSE Market Breadth Oscillator as on 4th OCT 2018
The same situation continues. All three oscillators, obviously, at the bottom. NIFTY 500 index continues to go down. Nothing to do but to wait for price to turn. Wait and watch mode. Don't force any trades. Patience is required now. _________________ Srikanth Kurdukar

Much of the same as all oscillators keep grinding the bottom. Keep the focus on price action. Scan and look for stocks that are not going down much in this decline. I would not buy but keep a close watch on those stocks. Such stocks would be the ones that could breakout of the decline first.
Again, keep focus on overall market and the price action surrounding it (NIFTY500). This could go on for a while as there is significant damage done. _________________ Srikanth Kurdukar

I read that in bse sensex 500, 80% stocks are below their 200dma.. same must be for nifty too then?
Everyday FII has been adding shorts and buying puts as per data even on friday. Its not over yet. |

On 5/10/18, S&P dollex made a double bottom with the low of May '17 when nifty made a low of 9272, a div of 1000 points in nifty. I expect a sharp reversal before next fall. It also means that INR may strengthen. |

ST,
The current charts is a close match with 2013 charts where the long term trend stayed near bottom for many months before any raise was noticed with few short term pullback. |

No improvement in breadth. Lot of damage, it is going to take a while. Even if the short-term oscillator takes a trip to +100, we will probably see good setups only if medium term starts to move up strongly. This could take time due to the overall damage to charts / psychology of investors. _________________ Srikanth Kurdukar
