NSE Breadth Oscillator as on 12th OCT 2018

Short term oscillator has shot up as expected due to the strong move today. But medium term oscillator has not yet started to move up (see the second image with details). So atleast as of now this is a short term pullback against the main down move.

I will post breadth oscillator chart tomorrow (friday) evening. Unable to do it as I am at a remote resort with a very bad mobile connection (net connection is unusable).

NSE Breadth Oscillator as on 19th OCT 2018

The recent pullback still looks like it was a pullback against the main downtrend and not the start of any significant uptrend. Until the intermediate breadth improves, a broad upmove looks unlikely.

NSE Breadth Oscillator as on 23rd OCT 2018

Short-term breadth which was holding up now starts to deteriorate. Medium and long term already at the bottom. Volume pattern on the recent pullback also was not positive. Will have to see where this decline stops and re-access at that point, maybe one more point where all three oscillators meet at the bottom.

NSE Breadth Oscillator as on 26th OCT 2018

Another one or two days of down or sideways move could get short term oscillator to the bottom. Would that result in a bounce? Maybe / maybe not, market looks weak. It would have to stabilise and digest the down move and then maybe it could move up. Lot of damage is happening and usually such damage requires extended consolidation time before we can get a decent upmove.

NSE Breadth Oscillator as on 29th OCT 2018

A decent bounce today with many stocks posting strong moves. But this is mostly going to be a pullback in downtrend until we see evidence contrary to it. The next few days will make it more clear. Pullbacks in downtrends can be very strong and can fool many, stay cautious.

Short-term breadth improves a it more but intermediate term breadth still not improving. So nothing much to get excited about.

Still very much a bear market rally. Only short-term breadth is improving. Medium term breadth has not yet turned up. Only short-term trades are probably okay. If medium term breadth starts to improve then intermediate term trades could be looked into. For now and actually at anytime, just follow the price. It makes things simpler.

NSE Market Breadth Oscillator as on 1st Nov 2018

A day or two more as short-term breadth tops, it will be interesting to see what will happen after that. This is a bear market rally at the moment. Nothing much has changed for intermediate term breadth. Lot more of the damage that has happened has to get repaired before things can improve.
