NSE Breadth Oscillator as on 17th Dec 2018
Both short and medium term breadth near 80. The up move could go on for few more days before a breather or decline or whatever it is. The volume since 11th Nov short term bottom is not strong, it has been declining steadily as the market is moving up. So that is a warning, but it could be that a consolidation could happen and we could have another leg of up move. No idea. The idea is to follow price up until the trend changes.
I am hoping we get a divergence in breadth like Aug-Sep market top. If that happens then there could be some more time left for this short term rally to go on. But things seldom do happen in such a clear cut fashion. So we will have to take it day by day. _________________ Srikanth Kurdukar

NSE Breadth Oscillator as on 19th Dec 2018
The whole scenario seems to be changing. Take a look at the long term breadth oscillator, that is a big change. Long term breadth oscillator was above -80 last on 18th May and has now got back above that level. It indicates lots of stocks acting positively in terms of long term (w.r.t 200 SMA). If this continues then the "current move being a bear market rally" case will get weaker and weaker.
Short & medium term breadth continue to be strong. _________________ Srikanth Kurdukar

Good morning ST,
I echoe apka's post. I have written the following in his thread:
I am also facing similar issues with log in. After 2pm, in 3 and 5 minutes time frame, the candlesticks appear like thin lines in 3 days and 5 days charts respectively. Request iCharts team to look into this.
Kindly look into this matter.
Meanwhile, a welcome thing is crosshair introduced in Charts (premium).
Please also consider addition of Hull Moving Average. |

@channasri and @apka,
I am trying to see why this forum login issue is happening. I have seen this on and off on mobile only, but I just had to login again and I could post. Are you unable to login and post after you encounter this issue?
One important thing....is this happening only on mobile or on desktop/laptop also? Please let me know. I will get to the bottom of this and try and find a fix for this issue. _________________ Srikanth Kurdukar

I checked this. This looks like an issue of viewing too many bars/candlesticks on the chart. The chart image size is fixed and once more data comes in, the bar width will have to be reduced and the chart is appearing congested. If you reduce to 2 days (I checked for 3 min TF), it looks a bit okay.
Can you confirm this? Or am I missing the issue? _________________ Srikanth Kurdukar

I checked posting by mobile, I am facing the same issue. Let me see what to do. The forum software we are using is quite old. We are testing latest versions but it can be implemented only on a different server as other supporting software also needs to be upgraded. We are in the process of testing all that. In the meantime, let me see if I can find a temporary fix.
I will update you on this... _________________ Srikanth Kurdukar

@ST,
Candlesticks become normal if I switch over to 2days for 3min and 3days for 5min. I have seen this for many months. However, values of certain EMAs appear different from one duration chart to another. For example, 200EMA in 20 days chart of 3 min is slightly different from 200 EMA in 3days chart of 3min. This difference is much higher for EMAs still higher number of periods.
I am sorry for delayed response. |

Yes, EMA values issue will be there due to the different number of bars considered for computation of EMA (also different starting point for such computation). SMA has fixed lookback period so you won't see this problem in its values. The issue is there by how EMAs are computed.
In HCharts (Basic) you will not encounter this issue as fixed number of bars are displayed in the charts. In live charts, new bars get appended to the chart so this issue will be there. _________________ Srikanth Kurdukar
