Dear Friends,

How much you are all interested in a trade set up which is modified and constructed using bollinger bands.

How do you look at B B ?

What is the reaction after watching the chart ?

Do you think it can be used for a Swing Trade?

Have you ever tried to use or modify it for swing trade?

How is your experience till the date using B B ?


Pls share your knowledge and experiences and queries and excuses and disappointments about B B, then after i will show you a sure shot kind of B B swing trading method that never fails. Signal generates at regular intervals and if we can catch it properly the great amount of profits can be generated.Even it shows entry levels and cleverly shows when to book profits also. I have created this thread on friday evening so i can have all my friend's views and before monday morning i can show you the trade set up. Most probably we will use eod data and not intraday data. After understanding this trade set up many of us will stop day trading i can promise you that.

Why make people wait till Monday.. Some would be successful and few may not be in using BB. Why don't you highlight your findings right away.

Atleast, people will do homework and backtest your method during week end. I am the one who is curiously waiting to see your methodology.

To be frank, I have so far considered BB as a useless indicator and have never used any indicator except Moving averages and ATR. After your post with so much confidence on BB indicator, I couldn't wait for your post on the setup and usage.

I am fine.. BB is the most useful and powerful one if understood correctly. I always look for reversal signal when it pierces the band and then make my entry.

Lets see how Mr Chirag approaches BB for trading.

dear chetan and dine all queries will be solved once you go through the trade set up.

i am hereby going to show the trade set up using Bollinger Band

There are some pre-requisite to use this trade set up. they are....

1. you should be familiar with microsoft excel

2. you should know how to take historical data from www.nseindia.com to excel work sheet

3. then a formula is there which will be written in excel sheet

4. after that formula we will get end result which will generates signals to trade

so if there is any problem in steps 1 and 2 let me know then we will go to step 3 and 4.

Dear Milan,

i am not asking to download bhavcopy.
i told u guys to download historical data of any script.

for example we will take historical data of yes bank from date 03-01-2011 to till the date in excel sheet.

then we need only high,low and close columns so rest of columns will be deleted.
