STS on HTF now OS. Price at 34 EMA on HTF and at 89 EMA on LTF. This is just to update you....those who are short can tighten stops or book profits etc....whatever...but if we breakdown from here then we test BEAR-S1 area where there is major support.

12:35 bar close on LTF was a reversal long trigger, ISL is far away. If you still want to take the trade the ISL can be placed 2 pts below the current 15 mins bar low.

Who is long? I made the mistake of having a close stop for the reversal long (used current 15 min bar low instead of the far away swing low on LTF). This trade got stopped out but the next regular long is working out fine.

Satish,
Kindly go through the previous pages of this topic. I have posted a chart with swing highs/lows marked. If you don't find it, let me know and I will post another example chart tomm.

ST Sir.. thanks for sharing a trading system.
I usually trade hourly charts and look at 15 min charts for entry/exit signals..
Can this system be used as is with a 15/60 combo in place of the 5/15 combo ?

rvg,
Thanks. I will go through the 60/15 combo charts today/tomm and post my suggestions. Everything should almost be same, just some tweaking of moving averages/STS maybe necessary. Will update you on it by tomm.
Regards.

Dear ST... can we use the previous days swing low as TSL for longs... if the market reverses on the next day, can we use the swing low for automatic short... eg) 4974 is the swing low of the previous trading session. can we use this for automatic short if the market reverses..

Here it is :
A. Regular long trade. Trend on HTF was bullish, we got a CCI pullback on LTF and then a CCI long trigger. ISL was below the prior swing low. TSL 1 was hit on the 11:00 bar (but there was no close below it which is necessary) but the trade got stopped out few bars later anyway (just before the point marked B).
B. This is the "early entry". Trend on HTF changed to bearish on close of 11:45 bar. Before there was a CCI pullback on LTF we got a downside break of a swing low which is the early entry for short. The ISL would have been just above the prior swing high. I have not marked it because this is not a standard trade (but I do take this trade as it gives early entry into the trend many times). If this trade is taken I usually grab profits as they become available and do not wait for trailing stops to hit.
C. STS on HTF had got OS by 12:00, we got a moving average crossover on LTF at 12:35 bar. ISL was relatively far about 35 pts away. If one isn't comfortable with such a far stop then it is best to leave the trade. I made the mistake of placing the stop just below the currently forming 15 min bar (don't do this). My trade got stopped out quickly. But this trade if taken using the regular stop would have worked out fine.
I did take the next regular long (CCI pullback) which is around the area marked TSL 1 (after the point marked C). My ISL was where TSL 1 is marked. I continued the trade from here. If one is not comfortable with the far away stop of reversals then this is the way to go - wait for the next CCI pullback to enter the trade.
D. STS on HTF got OB just before 2 PM. We got a short reversal after our long trade got stopped out in profit at TSL 3. But I usually avoid taking such late trades so I let this signal go.

You will not have to use previous day's low as TSL because if you take a regular trade a swing low will automatically be available as soon as you enter a trade. If you take previous day's swing low as TSL make sure there are no gaps as that would make the TSL too far (I guess you would avoid such swing lows anyway....).
Automatic short - I think you can do this if the swing low in question is below both moving averages on LTF. Then yes, one can use it for short (this is not part of this trading system but is logical).
