Reversal long negated as per rules and short automatically triggered. ISL for this short is a bit far, 2 pts above the prior swing high of 4986.80 (11:20 bar high).

Dear STji,

Requested to create new thread for swing trades..there is possibility of confusion since both intra and swing uses 15 tf with diff wma/sma settings

Kindly suggested to ask followers to post query/suggestions in diff tread under MTM-Swing Trading

Regards,

JJM

Reversal long automatically triggered the short SL (break of prior swing high...it was a TSL for the morning short trade).

WMA/SMA trend on HTF is for regular long/short trades only. We did get regular short signals on LTF but we did not talk about those because we were already short since 9:55 bar close. This short was closed after TSL hit and reversal long triggered at the same time.

BTW There are no signals given in HTF. All trade signals are given in LTF only. HTF - we see only for trend indication for regular long/short trades and STS position (OB/OS) for reversal trades.

nsk1371,

One suggestion....what you can do is, initially trade only regular trades and forget the reversal trades. This will remove all confusion from your mind. Once you are comfortable with regular trades then look into trading reversal trades. Reversal trades are riskier than regular trades but are most profitable when they work.

Short SL hit....whipsaw day!!!

Regular long triggered based on signal trigger criteria #2. ISL is 2 pts below 13:15 low (4968.45). Conservative users can wait for regular long (criteria #1 - CCI pullback) but it might come a bit late.

NF in bear-loc range. What do you expect now, ST? Is it a resistance or will it be above bull only?

More upside only if BEAR level (5020) is cleared, it is major resistance.

Taking regular longs when STS is OB is just a bit risky as it indicates the move on LTF is a bit extended. This is due to the strong/fast up move. You can still take the regular long as the risk is going to be less. SL will, as always, be just 2 pts below the most recent swing low.
