That's an ambitious target. Turning 25K to 6 Cr.........Translates into 11.4% compound rate of return per month or 366% CAGR. Would be quite an achievement, if you are able to pull it off. The best way to track it would be to graph the Equity Curve.. along with the calls...

| your fund balance [25000] is not sufficient to go long in nifty future.Hence exclude this call from performance

tmaranp: my intention is not at all to discourage you but to ask you to check your calculations and target.
Why? Your tgt of 25000 >> 5 cr in 6 years implies a compounded annual growth rate of 255%
The following were actually achieved by a relation of mine:
a) ITC : Bought 100, FV 10, Imperial Tobacco around 1980 @ 20 = Rs 2000
Left 55000 ITC of Re 1 FV @ 200 = Rs 1.1 cr when he died in 2006
This meant he achieved a CAGR of 38.8%
(ignoring dividends)
b) Infy: Bought 200 @ 100 each in IPO around 1991
Left 24000 @ 2000 = Rs 4.8 cr when he died in 2006
This meant he achieved a CAGR of 68%
(ignoring dividends)
