Today we have added the following functionality to JCharts (RT):
1. Charts Size : You can now select size of the chart (java applet's total size). We have provide Small, Medium & Large options. The size selection dropdownlist is available just above the JCharts applet. These options have been selected to match properly for different popular monitor/screen sizes/resolutions.
Please let us know if you think there are any changes required to these sizes. Please post info here and let us know your monitor screen resolution and the changes you want so we can test it here and update the changes.
2. Save Chart as PNG image file : You can now save the chart as a PNG image. A button named "Export Chart as PNG" is provided for this just above Jcharts applet. Just click the button to save the chart, a file selector window will be displayed where you can specify the filename to save the chart to.
Please let us know if you have any comments/suggestions.
We are currently working on few more enhancements related to custom stock categories (in the scrip list) and functionality to allow the user to manage the settings saved from JCharts (RT). This should allow user to reset the preferences, copy settings to user's PC etc. We will post update in this forum as and when we provide this functionality. Please keep a watch on this forum. _________________ Srikanth Kurdukar

It is possible. First click the EMA1, EMA2 & EMA3 buttons (they all should be in PRESSED / ENABLED condition). You should now see three EMA lines on the chart. Now change each parameter - the text box next to EMA1 is the parameter for EMA1. Change it to 5 and press ENTER key there itself (in the parameter box). Repeat the same for EMA2 & EMA3 and set respective parameters.
Save preferences to save these settings permanently. _________________ Srikanth Kurdukar

Dear ST,
i keep finding you finetuning the i-charts. it is possible only because of your vision and understanding the needs of traders as you are one.
now i have a suggestion. why not we have the list of stocks in a combo box(programmers call it a cobmo box) a list box the dorps dow when clicked. that we have in live charts. this will save a lot of place on the screen.
further it will be great if we can get our i charts level on the applet it self. that is the window we seperate from web page to view bigger image, by clicking the left top button.
another one, can we have preset horizantal lines for some indicators. like, if i want to have 20,25 hz lines set along with the indicator parameters for dmi/adx.
i didn't find the export as png button on the applet window. do you mean the button on web page?
regards

Padkondu,
That "new features added" post is from May 2008
Anyway, here are the clarifications:
1. Actually providing a combo box will mean the whole page will have to be refreshed to load data for newly selected scrip, which is time consuming as java will have to load again in the browser etc. You can actually hide the scrip list to get more space. There is a button on the top toolbar to do this....try the last button.
2. The company that owns this charting applet have not provided a way for us to automatically add few lines. We have requested them to provide such a way so we can add our own levels. Let us see if they will do it in the next update.
3. Displaying of lines at user-defined levels is available for some indicators like RSI but not available for others like DMI. I will see...I will put in a request for the same.
4. Yes, "Export chart as PNG" button on the page...it is not on the chart applet. _________________ Srikanth Kurdukar

It would be great easy if you add the shortcut keys of everything like zoom out, zoom in, refresh, to add indication, To Remove All Objects, Set Margin for Axes, Automatic Drawing, Draw New Objects, Move existing Objects and others which we find on right click on chart.. |

Dear Rony,
For Intraday, use JCharts(Premium). For what timeframe,is NIFTY showing rounded figure instead of decimals? Let us know, and we will look into it further.
Regards
Kamal.

Dear Member,
Please use JCharts(Premium), our main charting tool. Premium-B is our back up chart, in case of any disruption in JCharts(Premium).
Regards
Kamal
